Phelan stepped out of his plane followed closely by his gamma and two warriors. All four men were eager to reach their destination. The sooner the better. It would be easier for Crescent Moon to ambush them on the rest of there travel. They had no way of knowing whether Cullen's spies were aware of them making this journey or not. They would be safer once the reached the Long Mounain pack's territory. After researching the the names on the guest list they had discovered that two of the Alphas that were invited to the celebration had territorial borders near what had been the Dark Moon territory. Phelan was eager to discuss the attack on Dark Moon with them. He thought that it would be an opportune time to also start negotiating an alliance with them. Phelan had phoned ahead the day before and discussed the matter with Alpha Mixon. The two of them had arranged an Alphas meeting for the night of his arrival. Long Mountain pack, although quite large in size, was considerably smaller th
At nine o'clock sharp Phelan walked into Alpha Mixon's den where twelve other Alphas were all sitting. Phelan found a comfortable looking leather arm chair and took a seat. Alpha Mixon sat across from him in the matching arm chair. As Phelan made himself comfortable the remaining six Alphas walked in joining the group. When everyone was seated Alpha Mixon's Beta walked around the room closing all the doors for privacy. At the last door he turned and nodded to his Alpha and left the room. With the doors closed Alpha Mixon cleared his throat signaling the start of the meeting. Immediately all of the men fell silent in anticipation of learning what the private meeting had been called for. Most figured by now that there was more to this gathering than just smoking cigars and drinking brandy. Mixon leaned forward and looked at each of the men sitting around him before speaking. "First of all I want to thank each and everyone of you for attending this meeting and for accepting without quest
The Alphas discussed what Phelan had told them in great detail over the next couple of hours. They all agreed that it was in fact a mutual problem that would at some point in time most definitely affect them all. They had a common enemy and would all benefit by forming an alliance to stand against the impending evil. Every pack represented in the meeting would immediately start protocols to protect and defend their individual territories. They agreed as a whole to begin drawing up the necessary paper work on the following Monday to form a Continental Alliance of Packs. Putting aside their differences for the greater good was going to be the only way to come together as one unit in order conquer the issue at hand. They would each then set up meetings with their individual alliances to discuss the matter in an attempt to get every pack in the country involved within the next few weeks. After that they would schedule a meeting of all Alphas in the Red River Pack territory, as they were th
Looking up into the infinite heavens above her, Wren was in awe of the vast night sky's beauty and grandeur. Standing there alone in the safety of her special place. Her heart was racing, her breath was rapidly coming in and out of her lungs. That's when she became aware of the most delicious scent that rode the wind and now engulfed her. It drove her insane and filled her with an insatiable hunger for something, but for what she did not know. The strange yet alluring scent was reminiscent of the smells of the Autumn woods mixed with a musk.Wren looked all around, trying desperately to pin point the source of the tantalizing aroma. As she turned and faced the Eastern woods she saw him. A huge wolf, fur as black as soot and the most mesmerizing emerald green eyes. He oozed power from his very pores. As she watched he crept slowly towards her, much the way a lion stalks its prey. Closer and closer he came. He came to a stop just out of her reach. Her fingers ached to be run through his
Lobo had been incredibly restless all morning. Phelan decided that a run to clear his head and calm his wolf was necessary. He realized that missing the scheduled brunch would be frowned upon by his hosts. And that it could be detrimental to his proposed alliance with all of the Alphas. However, he also couldn't risk attending the brunch with a crazed wolf. That definitely could ruin all hope of an alliance if Lobo lost all control. Phelan was hoping that a quick run would rein Lobo in. Lobo wasn't usually impulsive. Phelan and Lobo both were known for being level headed creatures able to contain themselves until they chose not to. Phelan couldn't remember any other time in his life that he doubted his ability to control his wolf. These feelings of inability were new to him. He didn't like the way he felt or the way Lobo was acting. He felt like he was on the verge of going feral. The crazy thing was that he wasn't really sure why? He knew that he had to find the auburn haired angel wi
Wren and Phelan walked hand in hand to the edge of the woods. He turned to her with a smile and said, "How do you feel about taking a run?" Wren smiled in return and said she'd love to. They walked over to the trunk together where she slipped off her shoes and placed them inside before walking over behind a large oak tree and undressing. She then neatly folded her dress and sat it on the ground at her feet. Sage was dancing happily in her head, excited to come out and meet her mate. After transforming, Wren instructed Sage to carry her dress, not wanting to reach their destination and being exposed. Sage picked up the dress and pranced happily back over to where Lobo stood waiting with a pair of shorts in his mouth. The two wolves sized each other up and sniffed each other happily wagging their tails. Then Sage snuffed at him and bowed down in a playful stance. Lobo returned the gesture before racing away into the woods. As the two yipped and chased each other faster and faster the fo
Luna Freya kissed her daughter's temple gingerly before walking over and picking up two small jewelry boxes. Turning back to her daughter she smiled and explained. "This box here contains a gift from your father and I. And this box here is a gift from your father's mother. Your grandmother wasn't able to come tonight. She isn't well. I know you love her dearly. The two of you have always been so close. Perhaps very soon you can make arrangements to go visit her. She had this delivered for you, I think you should wear it tonight in her honor." Freya then opened the smaller ring box and held it up for Wren to see. It was a beautiful white gold ring with an infinity symbol. On it were set a small citrine stone and an amber tiger's eye. Wren loved it immediately! The stone's reminded her of the Autumn which brought memories of her grandmother to her mind. The love of this time of year and it's colors was something that Wren and her grandmother shared. They had always shared a special bond.
Wren woke with a smile on her face and a knock at her bedroom door. Looking over at the door she was greeted by her mother's smiling face peaking into her room. Her mother stepped inside and closed the door behind her. "Wren dear, I thought you might want help packing for your trip. We have an hour until breakfast, can I help you gather your things?", Luna Freya asked as she walked over to Wren's bedside. Wren stretched and sat up. "Yes, I'd like that very much, mother. Although, I'm not sure what I can take with me." "I think we should just pack a couple of bags with your clothes and toiletries for you to take with you today. Anything else I can have shipped to you later." Wren nodded in response to what her mother had suggested. Then pulled her blanket back and got out of bed. After going to the bathroom, she brushed her hair and teeth, and dressed herself for the day. Choosing an ankle length floral print skirt in autumn colors with a brown leather belt and sandals and a mustard c
