"Oh jeez." Mirabel screamed aloud and then she shuts her mouth with her palm.

"What happened Mira?" A woman asks her. She walked towards her when Mira didn't give a reply.

She kept staring at the phone on her hand, her eyes wide opened in shock.

"What the hell happened?" The woman asked her while dragging the phone from her.

"Aunt, he actually sent her a text, a text!" She screamed again.

Her Aunt shut her up with her palm and they both were staring at the bride who was standing at the alter waiting for her groom. The bride-wearing a ball silverly  designed wedding gown, was waiting patiently for her groom.

With her face still covered with a veil, her eyes squinting around in search of a clue. Her belove was supposed to be the one waiting at the alter, but for her it is the other way around.

It's already past 12pm, he still hasn't arrive, she started throwing tantrums, pacing around and yelling at everybody.

When she turned to look at the priest with pleading eyes, she senses the inpatient in the priest's eyes, but still he held back his words and keeps waiting patiently for the groom.

The church was overcrowded with guests and the guest was staring at the bride. The bride's eyes couldn't desists the mocking eyes of the inpatient crowd.

"Aunt." She said with a frail voice as she turns to look at her Aunt.

She felt everything is against her, even the universe didn't want her to get married. There is no way in which she could possibly bear to stay there for another minute.

"Relax, we will figure things out. I will talk to Margret she already went over to him to check what the problem is." She says to the bride who was looking distressed.

A lady walked into the church and keeps making gestures at her Aunt. Her Aunt walk away from her when her eyes met with that of lady walking towards the alter from the front door of the church.

"Hey Margret." Her Aunt Silvia calls out to the woman.

"Hey." Margret replies as she drags Silvia over to a corner and showed her a video of the groom getting married to someone else same day in another church.

"Isn't that the..." Silvia asks but was shut by  Margret.

"Keep it down, you want her to go crazy?" Magret silently scolded Silvia.

Both kept staring at the bride stunned at what they just watched.

"He actually sent her a text last night." Silvia said to Margret while staring at the bride.

"Really, what did he say?" Margret asked her whispering.

"He called off the wedding." Silvia responded as tears rolled down her cheeks.

Margret's jaw dropped, she never imagined a wedding could be called off with a text message and overnight.

The bride's eyes keeps drifting around and when she notice Silvia, Margret and her younger sister-Mirabel's eyes fix at her she is certain that they have gotten a clue to as where her fiance-Tom were.

She removed the veil on her head and walks towards her sister-

"Why are you so stunned like you have seen a ghost?" She asks her sister.

Mirabel has no idea what to tell her sister. She keeps looking at her with her heart burning for revenge. All she was doing at that moment was cursing at the groom who was busy getting married to another woman.

The bride walks to where Mirabel were, and drags the phone away from her, she slides the phone and entered the password.

Her heart keeps pounding fast and beating erratically like it was going to explode. She hasn't called him back since last night. He was going to discuss with her.

When the phone opened to her surprise her fiance was getting married to her chief bride's maid-her best friend Sam.

"What's happening?" She asked with a pair of pleading eyes and a quivering voice.

She was watching the live video but she didnt believed what she was seeing.

Silvia, Mirabel and her friends was shocked, they didn't know how to explain the situation.

"Kitty" Silvia screamed when she saw her almost falling on the ground. She ran to where kitty were and caught her on her arms.

Kitty was frustrated and felt the whole thing must be a prank, she kept panting her heart trying to convince herself that it was merely a prank.

She tried to restrain the tears prickling her eyes but it was becoming next to impossible to contain them. The pain she was feeling in her heart hounded her. All she needed was a quick escape from there.

She couldn't bare to take the piercing gaze of the guest. She gripped her wedding gown tightly on her hands and ran towards the door. All she wanted to do was to get away from there as soon as it was humanly possible.

As soon as she reached outside the church, the green light on the traffic jam turned red. She missed it and would have to wait for another five minutes.

Just like everyone else, even fate was standing against her, thwarting her free will.

She wasn't ready to stay there anymore, she felt she needed to be in the other church where her groom where, she needed to stop the wedding or perhaps the prank.

Cars kept driving fast beating traffic with every minute they got, three minutes passed by and it felt like she had been standing there for  three hours. She lost patient and ran into the road.

She stood at the middle of the road, trying to stop a cab. The cab didn't stop but instead drove directly at her on high speed, she quickly jumped to the next lane to avoid being hit by the cab.

She stopped at the front of a 2021 BMW Camry car. Her eyes was tightly covered as she thought she was going to be hit by the car.

The car made a horrible sound from the back tyres, as it tried to take a break to avoid hitting her.
