2. Kitty

Kitty fell on the ground in the busy highway, a road she never crossed alone even if the traffic light was green and people cross by. She still wouldn't without being accompanied by someone else holding her hands tightly.

But there she was, on the ground of the busy highway, the traffic light still red, no cars stopped at her silliness only the one which she was thwarting its way. Other cars behind the BMW took turns and joined the other lane, cursing at the crazy woman on her wedding dress probably trying to commit suicide they thought.

"Asshole"

"Bitch."

Some drivers kept cursing at her before driving off.

Before Kitty got up, the driver side of the car door opened and the driver walked out in fury-

"What's wrong with you ma'am, if you want to commit suicide then go jump off the bridge." He yelled at her.

Kitty helped herself up and arranged her hair with her hands totally ignoring the driver. She kept looking around for a taxi but she couldn't find any.

Then she turn to look at the driver, who was still standing and frowning at her waiting for an apology-she thought if she apologise perhaps she could get a lift.

Getting to the wedding was of grave importance, it was picture clear her groom has dumped her for another woman but she didn't wanted to believe it. She was holding on to the little hope in her heart, waiting to prove everyone wrong.

"I'm sorry, I'm really really sorry." She apologised to the driver.

She saw his countenance ponderously changing to a much calmer and glooming countenance. She thought now was the perfect time to ask for his help.

"Can I get a lift, please." She asked the driver.

"And I thought you were really sorry." He said and scoffed at her.

He rolled his eyes while he walk away from her towards the car.

"You have to help me." She begged and gripped him by his pants.

Silvia, Mirabel and Margret with some of the guests walked out of the church and watched the scene she was making on the highway.

"I said it, she got stood up."

"Quite a shame."

Some of the guests kept making mockery comments.

The driver tried shoving her off, but she gripped him with all she got.

"You must take me there." She kept mumbling on her knees with her hand wrapped around the drivers legs.

The driver looked frustrated and didn't know how to get away from her clutches. He looked like he was in a hurry and as it is, he was pissed at Kitty already, and she delaying him further infuriated him.

"Let me go." He screamed at her but she paid him no attention as she still held on tight.

Suddenly the back seat door of the car opened and a man dressed up in an expensive brown suit with a long coat and a cowboy hat stepped out of the car. He was wearing an expensive Rolex, with a branded costly pair of black shoes.

He walked towards them and paused a minute looking at her.

"Miss, I think we have helped you enough by not reporting you to the police." He said to Kitty in deep manly voice.

Kitty looked up at the man she was yet to get a glimpse of, he  looked serious and manly enough to loosen her grip on the drivers pants. Seeing his broad shoulders and huge muscles, she knew she wasn't going to get her way if she refused to yield to his warning.

She let go of the drivers pants and stood up, she set her gaze on the man and tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Imagine I'm your sister and my groom didnt show up at my wedding, wouldn't you want me to know what actually happened?" She said to him with a shaking voice.

He scoffed at her and rolled his eyes

"Unfortunately, you ain't my sister. And no, I don't have a sister, I wouldn't know if I would want her to figure out why her groom could have stood her up."

Then he turned to walk away, but suddenly he stopped when he heard the next thing she said

"What if I'm your mother, if your father had stood me up at the alter, wouldn't you want to know why he'd do that?" She yelled at him.

She saw his mood totally changed, his hand folded in anger and his brows were furrowed as he turned glaring at her. His eyes were squinted, he was infuriated by her words. He looked like a old wound had ruptured in his heart, as his eyes instantly turned red.

She was frightened by the look on his face, but she stood there boldly, ready to take whatever he would throw at her.

To her surprise, he took a deep breath and close his eyes

"Get in." He said to her and then he entered the car.

For a minute there Kitty was perplexed and kept thinking about what just happened. She only got herself when she heard the horn of the car, she quickly rushed to the passenger's side and went in.

She put her seat belt on and caught a glimpse of the man in the back seat from the mirror in front of the drivers seat. He looked really angry and affected by what she said.

She regretted at first, but when she looked outside the car, and saw Mirabel entering a cab to follow her, she instantly remembered the video she watched.

Her heart starts pounding really fast, she kept on breathing heavily, and gulping down her saliva.

"It's only a prank, he can't do that to me. Yes it's only a prank" She kept on muttering to herself.

The video meant nothing to her, she just wanted to see for herself.

"Address ma'am?" The driver asked her.

"23, apple street, Brownwish Church." She replied him.

"It's only a prank." she closed her eyes and kept on muttering.

"We are here." The driver said to her.

Her heart started beating erratically as she got down from the car.
