3. Jason

It was an hectic day for Jason, he had come all the way from Las Vegas down to Cambonian town just to get away from his grandmother.

His effort to take a break from all the heart wrenching and counterfeit life he had been living seems like it was going to be a waste as he was still being stalked by his controlling grandmother.

"Sir the car is ready." A man dressed up in a driver's uniform said to him.

He sighed as he took his long coat on the couch and put it on, then he placed his cowboy hat on his head.

He looked at the expensive Rolex watch on his hand and it was 10am.

"Is he gone?" He asked the driver.

"Yes he is sir. He left about 30mins ago." The driver responded.

He walked to the terrace that was covered with curtain. He opened the curtain a bit and looked outside the street analyzing the cars packed opposite the hotel building, when he didn't find anything and anyone suspicious he sighed heavily.

Ever since he left home for what he called vacation, his grandmother had been stalking him trying to figure out what he was up to. He changed hotel every two days but still, her handymen always figured out his location.

Last night was the height of it, as his grandmother had ones again figured out the present hotel he was lodged in.

Standing in the terrace with millions of thoughts on his mind, Jason felt the urge that he had to get things done as soon as possible.

"Let's go" He said to the driver.

"How about the girl?" He stopped and asked the driver.

"I haven't found anyone yet sir." The driver answered.

Jason sighed again and headed towards the door. He set up his mind to find a girl as soon as possible.

The driver took his luggage and they walked out of the hotel room.

When they got out of the room and was heading towards the elevator, he saw a man whom looked suspicious to him, Jason bent his head and placed his hands inside his pocket.

He walked slow and steady ready to take action if he needed to. He noticed the man staring at him, he bent his head and pushed his hat down to cover his face, then he placed his right hand inside his coat, and held his gun by the side of his pants ready to pull the trigger.

"Daddy" A five year old young girl shouted at the man.

"Baby girl." The man shouted as he ran towards the child and hugged her.

Jason  sighed heavily and released his hand from the gun. For a moment there he thought the man was a henchman of the Alfredo's. His family's business rival in Las Vegas.

Jason's grandmother owned one of the biggest and famous Casinos in Las Vegas. Having the Alfredo's-the second biggest Casino as a business rival.

It had been chaos since the two families have been having dispute over some of their client's inconsistency.

The two Casinos held alluring activities several times in a year to draw more clients. Their clients found it difficult to pledge loyalty to either Casinos as both were fascinating. With the two Casinos situated right opposite each other in the heart of Vegas, it had been quite a business feud.

When they got to the car pack, Jason took his time to check if it was clear for them to leave. After he was certain that he wasn't being followed he went into the car and they drove away.

'Beep pop pop' His phone kept ringing.

He picked it up from the car seat, and saw it was Harry-his best friend and lawyer calling him.

"Hey." He answered after sliding the call button.

"So where are you now? Lemme guess, you are moving away from the sixth hotel?" Harry asked him.

"I'm being followed." He said to him

"Yeah right, by your grandmother, she isn't going to kill you. Man, this is like the sixth time you have changed hotel since you have been there." Harry scolded him.

"I know she won't harm me, but this time I think it's the Alfredo's." Jason said to him as his  tone changed.

He was certain he was being followed by the Alfredo's, but how they got his location he wasn't quite sure.

"Hello, hello, hello." Jason kept calling out to Harry who froze when he heard Jason mentioned the Alfredo's.

"Are you sure?" Harry asked. Jason could sense the curiosity in his voice.

"Yes, I'm sure." He replied.

Harry exhaled on the phone and then asked-"So where are you heading to now, which hotel?"

"We are..." Jason paused. He figured he didn't know how the Alfredo's kept on locating him, his only ally he had been communicating with that was in the city was Harry, he then thought he would keep his current location to himself, until he figured out who was setting him up.

"I'm not quite sure for now, I will communicate it to you later." He said to Harry.

"Okay, be safe out there. But I'm quite sure it's your grandmother, but if you insist, then no problem." Harry said to him and hung up.

There was three people in his mind he knew would be the ones following him. His grandmother, the Alfredo's or his step grandfather.

He thought that until he figured out who apart from his grandmother was trying to get his location, he would no longer give out any information even to his trusted best friend Harry.

He erupted out of his thoughts when the driver suddenly stepped on the brake of the car, taking a rough short turn to the left.

"What dah." He screamed at his driver.

"I'm sorry sir, a woman ran into the road." The driver apologised and stepped out of the car.

Jason kept looking at the driver as he was exchanging words with a woman on a wedding dress. He was perplexed, what would a bride be doing in the middle of the highway.
