48. Jason

From the way she stood there looking at him Jason could tell she was suspicious of him. He totally forgot the wound kitty had seen. Her voracious gaze was piercing into his heart like a crimson tide. He was terrified, for the first time, and that he didn't know why.

He had been hiding himself, he wasn't going to let one small mistake mess with all his plans. So he lied

"I got shot twice for you." 

A lie had never hurt that badly, what was he thinking, he wasn't a man that told lies. He had everything at his finger tips and who would he possibly want to lie to. But there he found himself lying and why? He wanted to believe it was because he needed her, but it was deeper, yes, it felt deeper than that. 

He was starting to feel very connected to her, like his heart was merging with hers, and every look she gave him was as important as his breath, if she smiles, it would calm his heart.
