Mariana Rose

I felt Victor’s arms enveloped me from behind. Biting down my lips in disgust, I let a few seconds pass before I pushed him away and walked nearer to the window.

He looked rejected and embarrassed when I threw him a look.

“I’m sorry that I overlooked it, Glenda. Please forgive me. Evan is my best friend and I don’t really have an idea why this is all happening. He’s a good guy.”

I sighed. I know it will be a taxing task to turn him against his own best friend but I never thought Victor would be this loyal to Evan.

“I want to go home for now.”

His face changed. His brows furrowed and I can imagine the word ‘no’ plastered all over his face.

“You can’t. Glenda, we cannot just let this misunderstanding get into us.” He took my hands and held them tightly. “We just got married a few weeks ago.”

I pulled my hands away and acted deep in sadness and worry.

“I just want to talk to my brothers. I miss them. I want to see them. It’s my first time since I was back that I did not get

Mariana Rose“I know everything, Glenda. Nothing escapes me. I know every fiber of your being, my love.”His words lingered in my mind all throughout the ride back to the Crest pack’s mansion. What does he mean by that? He can’t possibly know that I am just a fake Glenda, right?“Right because he wouldn’t have allowed me to leave his house if he knew about that,” I consoled myself while biting my lips down.Given the alpha’s temper, he can't possibly overlook my deception.I would have been taken into his torture chamber and cut into pieces by now.“Turn the car around. We are going to Alpha Evan,” I ordered.“Yes, Luna Glenda.”I knew from Victor that Evan has been staying in one of his houses while his mansion is undergoing repair. From the entrance, the soldiers and servants bowed their heads before me in reverence.“What is the luna of the Crest pack doing here?”“Is she going to evict us all?”“Probably because she hates our alpha!”On the entrance, Iris emerged from and walked t

  • The Ex-Convict Luna is Back   Always a Step Ahead

Mariana RoseThe air thickened as Rozen closed the door behind his back using his feet and walked towards me. His eyes were focused on me for any shift of emotion.“Why did you do it? Why did you burn his house?”He stopped in front of me and toyed at the flash drive using his fingers.“Tell me, Glenda. What is your real reason for marrying Victor?”I gulped as my eyes roamed around for any possible exit. There was none. I could not just rush out of here without awakening Rozen’s suspicions again.“I burned Evan’s house because of you,” I blurted out of the blue. “I wanted to get even.”Rozen shoved his hands onto his pockets, his brows furrowed and his lips thinning out. “Get even?”“Yes. I wanted to get even because I hated him so much. He married your mate. He is the reason why you are howling every night in that field begging the moon goddess to bring back Iris into your arms. I cannot bear to see you always in pain.”I sighed inwardly when I was finished concocting the best lie e

  • The Ex-Convict Luna is Back   The Alpha in Action

Mariana Rose“Damn it!” Victor jumped out of the bed and out of the room to confront the elders in the living room headed by Evan himself who smug at me when he saw me at Victor’s back.Seeing his best friend leading the complaint, a betrayal crossed all over his face.“Evan! What is the meaning of all this? Why are you doing this?”“Alpha Victor, Alpha Evan submitted the evidence to the wolf council accusing the luna of burning his whole estate,” an elder answered for him.“Alpha Victor, we are demanding you to divorce Glenda right now before the council reaches for the decision! This would be the most embarrassing for the pack!” said another one and bent his knee before the alpha.Evan Hugh filed a complaint against me?! Would I go back to prison now?“Alpha Victor, we warned you already of this! Marrying a Ricks would only bring nothing but danger to our pack!”“Divorce the luna, Alpha!” they chanted while pointing at me.“Divorce the luna!”“Quiet!” Victor blocked my view so I won

  • The Ex-Convict Luna is Back   The Alpha Learns her Burden

Mariana RoseI left my room ready to go back to the mansion. Victor is out into a business with most of the lycans in his pack and I did not come along because I am still in pain from keeping my mate bond with Rozen. This would be the best time to go home for a while.“Luna Phillips, where are you going?”I turned around, forcing myself not to roll my eyes when the head maid Robbie called me. She volunteered herself to be my aid and attendant in front of Victor. At the get go, she seemed nice but my experience at the jail taught me never to let my guard down.Sure enough, my guess was tested and I learned who she really is. She’s nagging as if she outranks me. She bosses me around and decides for me and incites the other maids to talk behind my back.“To my house,” I answered briefly. “I just need to get something from there.”But what she did annoyed the shit out of me. She grabbed my hand and forced me back to the room and blocked the door with her body. “You can tell us what you ne

Mariana RoseI can’t explain my feelings while on the way to Alpha Victor’s mansion for the celebration. My hands are sweating cold, my wolf is in immeasurable pain, and my heart is being ripped into pieces. The wedding ceremony in front of the moon goddess sealing me with another man other than my own mate causes my heart rate to slow down.Noticing my silence, Victor moved to hold my hand but I quickly hid it away. He sighed but did not pursue it anymore.“I know this is just a marriage of convenience for the two packs but I want this to work, Glenda. I want us to work.”I cleared the lump in my throat. “Me too. I want us to work but can you not hurry me up? I mean you know that…”Chuckling, he jokingly elbowed my arm. “I properly understand what you mean. I respect you. Always. You are my friend, Glenda.”I smiled back but was instantly turned into a grimace when I heard the loudest thud on the rear end of the car followed by a deafening growl.I jumped hard and saw first the golde
