"Ana Paula."

"What do you mean, Ana Paula? Did he ask you to have an abortion?"

"Yes," I sob. I came here crying all the time. I already knew he didn't want this child, but to ask me to have an abortion was too much. I hope one day he bitterly regrets asking me that.

"You better not even think about doing that to my nephew. I would kill you if you did. If he doesn't want the baby, I do, and I'll help you take care of and raise them, friend." Ella always being the best of all, assuming a role that isn't hers.

"Ella, I'm leaving Seattle. I want to have my child far away from here, away from this monster who's their father."

"I understand, friend. Where do you plan to go?"

"I'm going to live with my father in France. I know he'll welcome me with open arms."

"That's right, friend. Let's start over somewhere else, where we won't see that guy's face anywhere. I want to forget I ever met him. Just thinking about everything he said makes me want to cry again."

"Don't even think about it, Anastasia. Stop shedding tears because of that scumbag Fuentes. He doesn't even deserve your tears."

"I know, Ella. I'll be strong for this little one inside my belly."

"It's for them that you need to be strong."

"Okay, enough now. Help me with the suitcases. I want to travel as soon as possible." Ella gets up, wipes away her tears, and goes with me to my room, complaining and saying that I shouldn't leave but confront Diego face to face. But I don't want to see his face, let alone confront him. If God permits, I never want to see him again.
