~STEWART~

"Have you gotten any information on Violet Rhodes and the main CEO of SHAVIO AUTOS?" I questioned my assistant who was standing in front of me. He handed over the iPad in his hands to me and said, "We didn't find anything on the CEO of SHAVIO AUTOS, but we found a few pieces of information about her."

My eyes skipped through the document on the iPad. She stayed in Australia for six years and returned four days ago with two children. My lashes blinked, and my gaze deepened when I saw children. Whose children were they? They couldn't be Violet's, right? That was impossible, wasn't it? She loved me so much and wouldn't have moved in from me in six years. I was certain that she would still be regretting her decision six years ago and must be looking for a way to get back with me. The sole reason she was still holding back was that I had already discovered her dirty secrets.

Could they be the children of the man she was fucking with at the moment? The children of the CEO of SH

GENERAL“Is that a threat?” Vincent, who was about to turn the handle of his door, stopped in his tracks and veered around.Willow erupted into laughter when she saw his reaction. “OMG! Can you see that, Amy? Did you see his expression? He looks like he’s about to cry,” she teased.Anger ran through him like electricity running through a wire. He clenched his teeth and darted a murderous glare over her. If glares could kill, Willow would have dropped dead by now.She could see that. She saw the stares. She could tell that he had the urge to eliminate her.If she were in the same position as his, she would do the same. It would be abnormal if he never found what she was doing abnormal. She closed the gap between them, rested her hands on her hips, and stared straight into his eyes. “Huh? Answer me, Vincent. Do you want us to have the meeting here or in your office?” she raised the question one more time.He couldn’t respond. For the umpteenth time, he rebuked himself for making the mis

GENERALFrom his office, Vincent could hear noises outside. It seemed like it was an argument. He could recognize one of the voices at a go, but the second voice sounded unfamiliar, yet familiar. He was irritated by the disturbance. He tried forcing himself to focus on work, but he couldn’t. The noise kept drifting into his ears and causing a distraction.Frustrated, he hissed, raised his head, and hit his palm on the table.“Gosh! Amy knows how much I prefer silence when working. Why is she acting unprofessional today?” he grumbled, standing. He left the table and stormed toward the door. His eyes darkened, and his facial features were masked with exasperation. He looked like he was ready to blast his secretary and whoever was there with her.He flung the door open.“Amy! What is the meaning of this rubbish?” he yelled, his eyes falling on his secretary.Fear gripped Amy at the sudden appearance of her boss. This was what she had tried to prevent. She knew he wouldn’t like it, but th

GENERALViolet strolled out of the kitchen, holding two bowls of custard. She placed them on the dining table and sprinkled a pinch of cinnamon that was already on the table on top of each bowl, one after the other.“Hey, honey. Your custard is ready!” she shouted from the dining area. The children, who had been engrossed in the cartoon they were watching, turned their heads at the sound of their mother’s voice. If it had been about anything else, they would have ignored it, but this was custard. They’d pestered their mother for it all day yesterday, but she hadn’t been able to make it because there was none in the house, and by the time she noticed, it would’ve been too late to go to the mart. One after the other, they hopped into their seats, shifting and adjusting themselves so they could fit perfectly. Their eyes were fixed on the bowls of custard.“Custard,” Nyla said softly, her eyes glinting with satisfaction. “With a pinch of cinnamon. Just like Uncle Liam used to make.”The c

~GENERAL~Kate was stupefied. She stared at him unblinkingly, void of reaction.“I know I’ve not been the best brother, Kate. Kindly give me a chance to make it up to you. Let’s rebuild our relationship,” Stewart mumbled. For a moment, her heart skipped a beat at the action. However, the picture of her mother on her last breath rewound in her head and hardened her heart. She scoffed. “Do you think you can manipulate me into thinking you really wanted this? I’m sorry to disappoint you, my dear. I’m not falling for this cock-and-bull. You should try again next time,” she let out, her voice laced with anger.“Get out when you are done with your acting. It’s not going to work on me,” she spat before settling back into her seat.It was stupid of Stewart and his mother to think a simple sorry would fix everything they had ruined in her life. They must be jokers for thinking their little lies and pretense would make her fall into their trap.Never! Even if he licked the soles of his feet.St

GENERALSister Kate stared intently at the desktop screen, rubbing her chin. After a few seconds, she shifted her gaze to the file beside the monitor and scribbled a few words on it.Then, she returned her eyes to the screen and repeated the same procedure.A knock on the door pulled her attention away. She already knew who it was. It couldn’t be anyone other than her secretary.“Come in,” she mumbled, setting the pen down on the file and leaning back in her chair. She let out a loud sigh. Her head had been bowed and her back bent for over an hour. Stretching felt like a luxury she couldn’t afford at such a crucial time. A new fashion project needed to be completed before summer, and that was just a few weeks away.Everyone had been working tirelessly for the past four weeks. The door opened, revealing her secretary’s face. Kate’s expression shifted into an I knew it look the moment she confirmed her assumption.“Hello, ma’am,” the secretary greeted with a short bow. “You have a guest

GENERALStewart was shocked. Even though he wanted that, he didn’t expect the proposal from her. He had hurt her a lot, and he was still doing his best to redeem himself and earn her trust. To him, he hadn’t done enough, and he still had a lot of work to do to convince her that, even in the face of danger, he would pick her and the children over and over again. He couldn’t respond to her. He stared at her unblinkingly, too overwhelmed to think of what to say.“What is it? Don’t you want the kids to know about you?” she raised questions when she wasn’t getting the required reaction from him. She thought she had made a mistake. She expected him to be excited since that was one of the things he had been wishing for—to meet his children. But the reaction he gave just made it seem like she had misunderstood him. Maybe he never wanted the children but her, and that would be a difficult quest if it turned out to be as she assumed.“No… No…” he lowered his head and kneaded the little space be
