Chapter 39

Elizabeth gradually opened her eyes but before she could roam her gaze around as she felt that she was in an unfamiliar room, she already heard Charles' voice.

She felt a bit weak.

"How are you feeling now? Is there anything that hurts?" His voice filled with concern based on his tone.

She looked at Charles and then he stood next to her bed.

"What happened?" She asked as she held her forehead. She was feeling a bit dizzy. She could see her surroundings turning around. She couldn't understand what kind of feeling she had at the moment.

So she decided to closed her eyes again.

"You lost consciousness, that's why we brought you here in the hospital. You looked pale and you were in pain," Charles said full of worry and concern in his voice. "Also, you have to take care of yourself and our baby," Charles added which made the heart skip a beat.
