Creed
The memories that infiltrate my dreams, the memories that make sure I am reminded that I was alone in this land, did not haunt me the night before. The echoing of the of loneliness did not startle my dragon, nor did wake him to find the fury of red bleeding from his eyes. This time, our eyes only opened slowly and felt the one person who had changed my loneliness, my well-being.
Her now favorite spot was right on top of my chest. Her whole body used mine as its own nest, her torso curled up around mine and her hand tickling the back of my neck. Fingers gently stroked the bits of loose hair while she slept. Not one bit was uncomfortable, it soothed me until it would lull me back into my own sleep. It’s like she knows when I awake in the night, disturbed by one thing or another. This goes on for the entire night. If she stirs, my dragon vibrates, whispering to her body to take rest. An endless cycle that we have grown accustomed to in o
OdessaCreed’s nose was to mine, his head tilted to plant his warm lips on the corner of my mouth. It was so tender, so soft for a man like himself. Instantly, I kissed him back, his hand tangling in my hair. Our bodies flushed together as the snow fell around us, the blue lights finally leaving us alone. Feeling his heart beat next to my chest, I wanted him impossibly closer to me, to be one with him because I never wanted to let him go. He wasn’t a dragon trying to guard a treasure; he was the treasure. His muffled moan had me grip his shoulders, his grip becoming tighter than his usual grip. Tongue tickling my lips until he snuck his tongue inside. Before I could utter a sound of appreciation, a loud cracking of branches was heard. Our kiss halted, Creed burying my head into his chest, shielding me from what he thought was danger. The hood of my cloak fell backwards, exposing my hair to the cold. His fierce dragon growl radiated the area. There was no wa
OdessaMy eyes twitched in annoyance. Daine’s hand came impossibly closer again, and I slapped it away. “I don’t need to know any of you. Let me and Fluffy go and we will go back to our own territory.” Jhaan chuckled, nudging the village idiot who was tickling the little boy who said I smelled funny.“Lore, get over here and at least stand by her. We will lead her back,” Jhaan ignored me, taking the lead of the small band of elves that were leading me further away from the mountain I had grown so fond of.“I need to get back! Just get out of my way. If you are so scared of Creed, then you know he will come hunt for me!” Jhaan stopped, turned, giving me a scowl. It wasn’t intimidating at all since he was my height, so it didn’t stop me from kneeing him in his crotch. Several elves laughed, grabbing my shoulders holding me back in place. I struggled, Jhaan chuckled hoarsely.
Odessa“Excuse me?” I leaned away from him, closer to the door. Daine’s adoring look turned to mischief as he looked at his mother.“That is it right? She is in love with him, is she not? That is what the pink powder means?” His mother pressed her lips together, shaking her head at her son’s pushiness.“You will have to forgive my son,” Glinda picked up the saucers of tea, taking them to the sink. “He does not know when he speaks out of turn.” Daine scoffed, his eyes glittering with excitement.“He’s your mate then?” There was that word again.“What is a mate?” The teacups in the sink crashed together, causing them to shatter. Glinda paused, looking at her own mess before stepping away to dry her hands. Her hand went to rub her mouth as she turned to the table.“Are you alright, mother?” Daine didn’t leave
CreedOnce Adam’s smell left the area, I went back to the narrow clearing where I chopped wood. The trees that I had selected to discard for fire were barely holding up. This would leave fresh new trees to grow in its place. I pulled on my spare cloak, my cloth covering my nakedness was still around my hips, but my leathers to cover my legs were gone. I was not expecting to shift while hiding in the small ravine cutting down trees. This proved to be a terrible mistake. I will be sure to always be prepared when my Fawn is with me. Even with my warm body and my comfortableness walking around in just my cloth, Odessa would always become flustered, becoming a bright shade of pink.Maybe I should just forget my leathers. My dragon agreed whole heartedly.Hoping that the search for Odessa had slowed, I was mistaken again. The Duke was set on having Odessa and the next steps would be futile to make him believe she was dead. I still held onto the rags of her
Creed“Dinner will be brought up,” Lura spoke as she waved us towards the edge of the meadow-like area. The vined trees that wove intricately around themselves to create large bases and even more intricate homes up above were more impressive than I imagined. I’ve flown over these trees for many years but never dared to come close, for fear of the Elves wanting to wage war with my tribe because they see me as a threat. Adam wouldn’t let me live that one down.We walked closer. Even with the translucent leaves above us, you could see the patter of rain. How they kept the grass green with no direct sunlight and having the heat of the fire escape around them was beyond my understanding. It was as if they were bees inside of a hive the way they were protected from the outside elements with the help of their trees.Odessa grabbed my hand, pulling me to go faster. Her smile expanded, showing off her pearly white teeth as s
Duke MortusThe cobbled stones hit the carriage’s wooden wheels firmly. Black stallions reared their ugly heads as my coachman whipped them to hurry down the winding path. The road to the castle was filled with rough terrains. The previous King, Drago, did not care to maintain the roads to his castle because he did not want an audience at all. He was a bloody tyrant. My family hated him and everyone else in the parliament. They craved to rule the entire nation with an iron fist, take what they wanted, take on female vampires as concubines until he found his fresh new rose he saw in the Moon Kingdom some twenty-odd years ago.Princess Sabrina was just a babe, lying in a crib, but when he looked into her eyes, he already knew he had to have her. It would strengthen both kingdoms, but not only that, the aura of this precious baby calmed his demon inside. No longer thirsting for blood and concubines, he calmed his ways just enough for the kingdom to thrive for twenty
OdessaSoft tender pressure creeped up my shoulder, the touches eventually swept across my slightly sore shoulder. Hot breath rolled down between my breasts, causing me to sigh contentedly. The light behind my eyes made me groan. I felt like had just fallen asleep, and it was already time to start the day. I was too used to the dark cave, where I could sleep as late as wanted, not knowing when the day started or began. As long as Creed was with me, it didn’t really matter. Hands engulfed my waist, the soft pressure on my neck trailed up my jaw and now placed on my lips. Creed’s warmth hovered over my body, his lips now pressing, urging against mine. If anyone else had tried to wake me, I would have for sure thrown something across the room to let me sleep just five more minutes but with Creed, he could wake me at anytime and I would be elated to see the happiness in his eyes.“Morning
Creed“Come with me, Odessa, I might have some swimming clothing you could borrow,” Annabelle extended her hand to Odessa, who looked at me for approval. She could do what she wanted. Then again, she might look to see if I deemed Annabelle and the rest of the Elven people trustworthy. I found no malice in their words. In fact, they had been more than accommodating than anyone I had ever met. I could not smell mischievousness as I could with my brother, and they have kept her safe when I was away before. Even if they did supposedly darted her. My dragon roared within me.She is still close; I told my dragon, who was pacing in my chest. There is no need to worry. My claws continued to itch to grab her and not let her go, but my human side understood this was important for Odessa to trust others.Razak roared playfully as several children attacked him playfully. Rolling on the ground with glee as they scratched his underbelly. My fierce compani
