Chapter 9: Strong Connection

Eddah POV

Still shocked to find out about Imore's lies on becoming the Lycan King Killan's Queen Luna, I almost forgot that I have to bring tea to King Killan. 

I hastily ambled the hallway going to the kitchen and look for tea on the cupboard. Even I didn't grew up staying and doing chores on our kitchen, I know how to distinguish tea from the others inside the cupboard. When I was ten, my father trained me to develop my scents especially on plants. 

I chose the container with a color light brown powder inside it. By it smell, I could tell that it was the tea he's wanted to have. After making my master his tea, I went back but Imore appeared again on my way to his room. 

" Where do you think you're going? And the tea, who's that for?", she asked me after crossing her arms around her chest. 

" It's for Master Killan. If you'll excuse me." I softly muttered. 

The tea was so hot that I carefully passed beside her when she blocked her legs on my way and I was thrown on the floor. I tried to save the tea but the cup broke and scattered on the floor. 

I also cuts my own hands because of the broken glasses. 

" Oppsss... Sorry. Just make him another tea", Imore said mocking me. 

My whole body trembled in anger that I wanted to curse her but I just gritted my teeth and clasp my hands to hold back. She was about to walked away when I heard the creaking sounds of King Killan's door. 

" I heard shouting! What happened here?", his voice was loud and firm. 

I immediately got up from the ground still clutching my bloody hands because of the cuts. 

" Master, I--", I stop when Imore walked closer to Killan and said something to him. 

" My King, this slave tried to splash me with the tea she's going to give you because she's jealous that you chose me over her. Punish her for me, please", she said those lies in front of my master. 

I wanted to defend myself from her but before I could do it, King Killan made a fierce gaze on me and believe his fake Queen. 

" Is this true, slave? Ah, maybe my Queen was right since you don't follow orders from your Alpha before and now you wanted to hurt my Queen?", he roared. 

My chest tightens as hurtful memories flashes back to my head. That's what happened when Alpha Damien accused me of hurting his Luna which was the same girl messing my life in front of King Killan. 

" No, master! I didn't do anything to her. Beside, she's the one who---", then Imore cut me off again. 

" Don't be stupid, slave! Don't say any lies in front of my King! You don't respect me as your Queen. Now, my King will punish you so will learned your lesson, right Killan?", she continued on accusing me. 

King Killan of course believe her. 

" Yes, my Queen. This slave should be punish. Guards, take her to the dungeon and locked her there! Don't give her food too!", his voice was clear when our headmaid came to help me. 

Headmaid Rhea beg master Killan to forgive me this time. 

" Master, I'm so sorry for not giving her a proper behavior. Please don't punish her. She's new and adjusting." She said after kneeling in front of him. 

My eyes grew wide on Miss Rhea's action. 

Master Killan immediately ordered her to stand. 

" You don't need to do that! Okay, I'll let her off this time but if she'll do that again, you can't save her anymore." The King's roaring voice put shivers to my spine. 

It's the first time I saw his angry face. He's more scary that I ever thought. It doesn't matter anymore if he's going to punish me to the fault I didn't do as long as I am away from my packs and parents. 

What matters now is how I'll going to deal with Imore as my master's Queen instead of me.

I tried to made eye contact on my master but I couldn't do it. Hearing him shouting made me don't want to serve him. 

" Come-on, get up now. Follow me to the kitchen and clean your mess!", Rhea ordered me with her cold voice.  

I'm happy and thankful that she save me but I can feel that she's mad for what happened earlier. 

" Yes, Miss Rhea." I quickly replied while cleaning the broken glasses. 

King Killan just stood there and his Queen until Imore left after giving me a sharp gaze.

" We're not done yet, slave", she whispered in my ears. 

Silence filled the hallway when me and master Killan were left alone. I still continue cleaning the broken glasses so I could  

I was about to get up when he noticed my cuts. 

" Did you hurt yourself?", he casually asked me. 

I slowly looked up to meet his eyes while hastily keeping my wounded hands behind my back. 

" It's --it's just a small cut, my Lord. I'm sorry." I stuttered. 

I saw his jaded eyes narrowed on me. He took a deep breath and walked near me. I immediately sense his strong scent which made me gasp for air. It's the first time I felt this way towards the Lycan King. 

He crouched down and I felt a hands grabbing my chin. 

I froze and wince as I felt his grip on my skin. 

" If you keep on hurting my Luna, I swear to bring you to the Abbys, slave!", he sternly warned me.

Master Killan stood up and left me after giving me his harsh words. While cleaning the broken cup, I gritted my teeth while thinking on Imore's lies. 

" I won't let you do this to me, Imore! I swear that your lies will be exposed as soon as possible." I said to myself when head maid Rea arrived. 

" Eddah, finish it quick! Master Killan will make an announcement tonight! We have many chores to do!", she I formed me and left me again. 

I couldn't believe that master Killan believe Imore's lies. I don't know what kind of sorcery she did to the Lycan King. I just finish cleaning the mess she made and followed Rea to the kitchen.
