Lucia stood up, and swayed, a little. Her legs, were stiff, due to the long hours of sitting at the same spot. Lucia looked up to the clock, hung on the wall, she gasped, seeing it was 6:30 am already, surprised, that she worked for so long.

Lucia walked out of her study, with dark circles, around her eyes. She looked drained, but Lucia didn't feel like that at all. As Lucia, walked out of the study, she heard Hugh come in. She stared at him, because he looked so manly and sweaty, after his morning jog.

Lucia gulped, as she could see the outline, of his toned abdomen, through his body-hugging shirt. She wasn't the slightest bit, ashamed that she was staring at Hugh, while he was looking back at her. Hugh, on the other hand, couldn't stand her gaze, he coughed to get her attention.

Lucia frowned at Hugh, for interrupting her, with his sudden cough. She shamelessly said, "I was checking you out, and you interrupted me." Lucia said, walking past him, to go to her bedroom. As she walked past, she brushed past Hugh, deliberately, with a silly smile on her tired face.

Hugh frowned, when he felt the same spark, he felt yesterday. He turned back to see Lucia swaying her perfectly curved hips, seductively. She was still in her night dress, and Hugh, could not help but stare, dazedly. Hugh snapped out of his daze, when Lucia disappeared, into her bedroom.

Hugh, put his hand, into his pants pocket bringing out his phone. He dialed a number, which was saved with X. He did not want to talk to or see this person, anytime soon, but Hugh needed to clear his doubts. Hugh hoped that what he thought was wrong.

If his thoughts, were true, so many things, would go wrong, both in his world and in the human world, because of the peace treaty, that was signed, many decades ago. Hugh walked towards his bedroom. The rays of light, from the window, fell on Hugh, making him look otherworldly.

The phone rang, for forty seconds, until it was picked up, on the other side, and a gruff voice, boomed out. "Hugh," X called out, with slight irritation, in his rough voice. "What do you want to ask?" X added, knowing Hugh, would never call him, for any other thing.

"I need to see you," Hugh said, firmly, his stance, right now, showed power and authority. And X could feel it, on the other side of the phone. Surprisingly, X did not cower, and he said bluntly, "Where do you think I am, right now? In the human world?" X said.

"Cut the crap, I know where you're. I will send you a message, meet me, right at the venue, you see in the message." Hugh ordered, and hung up. X raised his brows, surprised that Hugh, knew where he was. Though Hugh had left, their world, he still had his connections.

Immediately after X, saw Hugh's call, he realized that Hugh knew his whereabouts. As Hugh could not reach him, that way if he was not in the human world. But, he wanted to taunt Hugh, knowing how impatient Hugh could be. X hummed, as he tried to guess what Hugh needed.

Back at Hugh's bedroom, Hugh threw his phone, on the bed, making the phone bounce, landing on the edge of the king-sized bed. Hugh looked around his room, where walls, and everything else, were colored in white, as he preferred white since it was the color of his fur.

He walked towards the bathroom, to take a shower, as he felt hot. He would also be going out with Lucia soon, as her bodyguard, he needed to get ready, quickly. Hugh came out, with a towel, wrapped loosely, around his waist. His body was seductive, with his damp hair.

If Lucia was here in the room, she would stare, shamelessly and lecherously, at him, not minding anything. Lucia might even have the sudden urge, to touch him. But, that would be going too far. Hugh walked into his walk-in closet, which was mostly filled with white clothes, and accessories.

With only a few colored clothes, Hugh took out a white crisp shirt, and black pants, pairing them with white shoes. How obsessed was Hugh, with the color white? Hugh changed into his chosen shirt and pant, he went to stand before a long and wide mirror, in the closet.

Hugh only used his towel, to take out the little water dripping out. He clapped his hands, seeing that he was ready. Hugh did not have the patience, to dry his hair, with the dryer. He shrugged and straightened his clothes. Anyway, he would not get sick from damp hair.

Hugh walked back, into his bedroom. Taking his phone, from the bed, he typed, and sent a message to X. Hugh would be meeting X, at the cafe, just outside Alix Enterprise's headquarter, as he couldn't leave Lucia, all by herself, though she wouldn't be by herself, in the company.

Hugh looked around his bedroom, seeing everything was intact, he stepped out of his bedroom. Immediately after he stepped out, he caught sight of Lucia, standing by the floor-to-ceiling window, checking out the view of the busy city. She was already dressed, and Hugh could not help but access her.

Lucia turned sideways, as she sensed someone behind her, and it could not be anyone else, but Hugh. "Are you ready?" Lucia said, with a smile, her black hair, cascading down her back, reaching her waist. Hugh followed the length of her hair, his gaze settling on her petite, round ass.

Lucia was wearing a suit, with pants. A black stiletto heel, framing her feet. Hugh quickly composed himself and took his gaze away from her. "Yes, I am ready. Did you have breakfast?" Hugh couldn't help but ask. Lucia shook her head, "No, I am late already. Let's go." Lucia walked forward.

As Lucia walked, her hips swayed, but Lucia wasn't even trying to seduce Hugh, or do anything. Hugh walked behind her, his eyes trailing on her hips and settling on her thin waist. His hands, itched to grab her waist, to know how it would feel again, in his hands.

Hugh frowned, his thoughts catching him off guard. All these thoughts only started appearing in his head, yesterday, and he couldn't even control them. Lucia was already in the elevator, and Hugh took two huge steps and got in after her. Soon, they were in the slightly dark parking lot.

Hugh walked to the car, it was an Audi A4, a luxury sedan, and Hugh pulled the back door open, for Lucia. Lucia thanked Hugh and settled into the car. Surprisingly, Lucia was not trying to give Hugh, coy and seductive looks or smiles. Her stance was serious and unfamiliar to Hugh.

Hugh looked at her, and had a sudden admiration, in his eyes. But, was it admiration? Hugh closed the car door and got into the driver's seat. He pulled open the storage compartment, on the car's dashboard, and took out a black face mask. He passed it to Lucia.

Lucia looked from the mask to Hugh, her questioning gaze, landing on Hugh. Hugh cleared his throat, "It is for your safety, and it's important." Hugh said, and Lucia nodded. Lucia took the mask, knowing grandpa James, and Hugh, were trying to protect her, but Lucia did not know why.

Lucia had always wanted to question her grandpa James, on why he was so tight-lipped about her, not talking to other people about her, and always trying to keep her identity hidden, even in school, high school, and college. Grandpa James did not even allow Lucia to have friends.

Lucia was reasonable enough, to know that grandpa James, was trying to keep her safe, from something, a person, or even people. Hugh had already started the car, driving out of the dark parking lot. He observed Lucia, from the mirror, above him, and he noticed that she was troubled.

Hugh could guess, that she was troubled, because of the mask. He knew, that she had the right, to know what was going on, and how they had protected her from the shadows, right from when she was thirteen. Hugh stopped thinking, and concentrated on driving, the car, looking forward.

Twenty minutes later, they got to Alix Enterprise, but Hugh did not stop at the entrance. He drove directly to the parking lot, and some of the employees noticed the unfamiliar luxury car. Hugh was glad, that the windows of the car, were tinted, hiding whoever was in the car.

Hugh parked, at a hidden spot, in the parking lot, as some of the employees, also had access, to the parking lot. Lucia was about to step into the car, but Hugh stopped her, and pointed at the mask, in her hands. Lucia nodded her head, slightly, and wore it.
