Chapter 87 - The Hired People

I walk along the edge of the training field. My eyes scan the group of trainees, but I’m not here for them today. I continue to hunt through the maze of people for one specific person. The corner of my mouth curls upward when I spot Blake in the middle of everything, talking to one of his top trainers.

I navigate through the sea of people, trying to avoid their punches and kicks. Luckily, the section I’m in is where all the lower-level trainees are at, so if I don’t dodge well enough, it isn’t going to hurt much, if at all.

Ignoring proper protocol, I march up to him and interrupt their conversation as I grunt, “What did you find out?” My words come out more forcefully than I had intended them to, but I’m not going to apologize for it.
