Shane's POV
I am strolling alone in the hallway of our building, I just finished my morning classes and I am on my way to the locker room to store some books when I suddenly felt an arm wrapping me behind my back, the seductive smell of a woman perfume is enough to recognize who it is.
“Olivia,” I said as I turned to face her. She let go of my hand and grabbed for my shoulders, looking at me from head to toe as if she were examining every inch of my body.
“Can you tell me what you're doing?” I protested, but instead of responding, she simply moved my body around and around, studying it once more.
Eventually, she stopped.
“Do you know how concerned I am?” her eyebrows furrowed.
“I am fine, Olivia. There is nothing to worry about.”
“You almost got yourself in danger, and you’re telling me that I do not need to worry?!” she slightly raised her voice that made other students turned to us.
I immediately cove

Eighteen: The recognition”Sheez.. he’s a hottie”“Which one? That guy with full of tattoos on his arm? Your taste is awful, Oliv.”Jase and Olivia bickered while we sat in the right corner of a restaurant. It’s six pm and I invited them to have dinner here because I am going to introduce someone important to them. They also wouldn’t let me go home alone after what happened to the locker’s area. There’s no danger, I am sure that no danger or death whatsoever will come in my way tonight unlike what the red note implies. It’s just a threat, it’s not happening tonight. I am too young to die.I have been convincing myself all day that everything’s alright but I know that it isn’t.“Shut up, Jase.” Oliv rolled her eyes at him and sniggered when the so-called hottie guy from another table smiled at her. Olivia’s right, he’s
Third person’s POVHe knows what she’s going to do. He knows what she’s aiming for, she’s beginning to doubt Erwan. She wants to keep him close so she can find out about the plan. He does not know how the idea hits her, but he is aware that she is doubting Erwan. Her questioning stare and doubtful look towards Erwan tell it all. She wants to know it all, but he can’t let her do that in an easy way. He’d been through too much, he can’t let the plan go to waste like this.He paces back and forth inside the darkroom, there is a table with a laptop and a lot of piled papers in top of it. His jacket is wrapped on the back of the swivel chair. He walked to and fro around the room, trying to figure out what to do next. His shadow follows him as his tall and slim figure wandered about the room. The pictures pinned in a wide black bulletin board on the left corner always remind him of his target, of what should he do and what he should
Shane’s POVErwan Fuenter.I typed his name on the search bar of my Instagram account and sneak into his profile. I scrolled down on his account trying to find some clue about his past. His recent post was a year ago, it is a picture of a girl smiling sweetly on the camera. It was captured on the beach, the girl wears a bikini while she sat on the sand.I read the caption of the photo, Veronica, the girl with the sweetest smile. Lovely. It is her, I see, the girl who captured Erwan’s heart. The thought of them together holding hands while walking on the beach and watching the sunset together suddenly entered my mind. How does it feel to be his girl?I shook my head. I just can’t imagine him flexing someone in his Instagram account. He isn’t the type of guy who would do such a thing. But Erwan is Erwan, he is full of surprises. He thinks differently, maybe that’s the very reason w
Shane's POVI arrived at school almost 10 minutes before class, I was too busy doing my assignment report for our marketing subject and I don’t know if it is because of my curiosity or my suspicions regarding Erwan but I got distracted by the image of the girl that I saw in his Instagram account. While doing the report, I found myself wondering about her and where she is now.If you’ll ask me if this is normal, of course, it is. Curiosity is normal.I am lucky enough that the professor is still not around by the time I arrived at the classroom. I glance around and frowned when I saw someone sitting in my usual spot. What a lucky morning, indeed. The only vacant seat now is in the back row which happened to be beside Erwan. It is not a good thing because I decided that I should not be attached to him, especially today.Today is the crucial part of my investigation. I have this strong feeling that I wi
The chattering and noises of other students inside the cafeteria are audible.I finished the last piece of orange and waited for Rodrick to chew his last apple. When done, we agreed to go and I offered to give him a brief tour of our campus before finally heading to the soccer field.“Are you usually this kind, Shane?” he asked while we strolled around the bleachers.I turned to him and smiled.“Not really, but since you are the best friend of Erwan which is my dear fiancé, I figured I should be nice to you.”He chuckled.“You’re interesting. Are you somehow in love with him now?”A shrug escapes my shoulders before I let out a sigh and respond. “No, but who knows. Maybe if we try, we can somehow click.”“Be careful, Shane.”“Huh?”“If you think you can’t stop yourself from falling in love with him, please make
Shane's POVMy class ended by 5 pm and I hurried to my car as soon as the professor said his goodbye, I did not bother to go home and went to a gasoline station instead to use their public toilet and changed my clothes. You know what's cool about my plan? It's the fact that I look like the men who were trying to abduct me back in the bar.I am wearing all black, as in black shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, black cap and to complete the outfit, I also put on a black mask.I am not a robber or something, but my plan is to actually sneak into someone’s home. After settling my outfit, I walk back to my car and started its engine to finally start what I am going to do. It is not that hard to find the house and it only took me fifteen minutes to reach it.I've never been inside his house but it doesn't matter because I only have to sneak in a window and the only problem that I have is how to go through that
Shane's POVThe man turned to my direction and adjusted his reading glasses. He shook his head and blink for probably five times before finally deciding that I am indeed real. The bark of the dog from the distance can be heard up here, but apart from that, the room is still and silent.Jeez, my fingertips felt like they were about to freeze. How come I did not thought that someone might be here? I was so sure that everything will go according to my plans. I was wrong because I am already caught before I even got started."Uh, hello," I said, raising my hand and giving him my most awkward smile. He remained silent. He remained stunned and unable to move from his seat. He let go of his book involuntarily and shook his head yet again. Seriously, isn't he getting dizzy?"You are real," that's the first thing he said. It's not easy n
Erwan led me to his car after the commotion inside his room. He is not talking to me, his eyes are fixed on the road as he drove.“Aren’t you going to ask about what just happened?” I started. I want him to say something, I want him to clear my accusations. He glanced at me for a moment and turned his gaze on the road again.“You don’t trust me, Shane.” He mumbled. It is barely audible, but I managed to catch every word that he said.“I am not making excuses for what I did. I am aware of my faults and actions and if you’ll give me another chance, I promise to trust you in every step of the way.” I don’t know what I am saying but I am not used to his silence, so I am trying to lighten the atmosphere as possible.“Look, Shane. I am not mad at you. I just don’t want you to put yourself in danger.”“But I am in danger.”“Yes, you definitely are
