Shane's POV
The next day, he invited me over to attend a party with him but I reasoned out that I had a really tough week and I want to rest for the entire day tomorrow since its the weekend.
“Even just for an hour? I don’t want to go there without a partner.” He nagged.
“I am really sorry, I am too exhausted for a party.”
“Then let me just stay with you, I won’t be able to enjoy myself if you’re not there.”
“Are you nuts? You should go.”
“No, really. I’ll just stay with you.”
At the end, I was left with no choice but to attend the party with him. My conscience won’t afford to have him not attend it just because I am not there.
I mingled and had a short conversation from the other guests from time to time until I saw a familiar man in his white tuxedo intently looking at my direction.
