Chapter 15
ALEX'S POV
Star lost consciousness on our way to the hospital. Her body temperature was rising fast. Ethan was fast and we reached the hospital in half an hour. Ethan rushed into the emergency unit and I carried Star out of the car. He came back with two nurses and a stretcher. I placed her on the stretcher and she was wheeled into the (ER) emergency room. Ethan and I were sitting in the waiting area.
Mum came in 30minutes after our arrival and rushed to my side. "How is she?"
I stood up and hugged her "No update".
Just then the doctor came out of the emergency room and removed his facemask. I think he wants to address us.
" Are you related to Star?"

ALEX'S POVWe approached the garage and drove into it. All the lights were on which signifies the presence of someone. Finite and his park were driving behind us. Entering the garage , I could see two people seated on a chair. We parked the car, jumped out of it, and ran to where the two ladies were. The First Lady I saw was seated on a wheelchair, I didn't know her so I moved to the second lady which was Star. She was gagged, her both hands were tied behind together with her legs.Finite rushed to the lady on the wheelchair and cupped her face. She was not gagged but was unconscious, signs of violence could be seen in her face. Her left eye was swollen and purple. Her lips were cracked, bruises could be seen on her right cheek. Who did this to you? Finite asked deep within him.

ALEX'S POVThe blood moon is today and oh no……..I looked at Star and the first thing that came to my mind was to untie from that chair and take her away from this place. I bent down to untie her but was stopped by Ivy. She grabbed my hand and dragged me away from her. That lady is really strong, she picked me up from the ground and dragged me across the garage pinning me to the wall.War broke loose in the garage, bodies flying from one corner of the room to the next. Finite's men and my pack were attacked by some unknown men. They came from all angles. Where the hell are they coming from? As they all jumped in, they transformed midway and attacked giving their prey little time to transform and defend themselves.

JOSIESchool is out and Stacey offered to drop me off at work. I know she's doing this not because she's such a nice person. We both know my friend isn't one for niceties. She eats lunch at Patty's. I guess she figured she could get an extra cup of a milkshake if she saves me the ten minutes’ walk.We are standing beside Stacey's truck she prefers to call 'Reddie'. It is an old beat-up truck that belonged to Frankie as a present for his sixteenth birthday. Well, that was years before I came to Kansas.Reddie is in bad form today and has refused to start.
