S’bu spent the whole morning and day thinking about a way to resolve the issue of the man troubling Thandi. He wandered if the private chat messages would be enough to convince the judge to grant restraining orders against the man. He consulted Zake about it. When they got to Mandy’s home, Thandi took some painkillers and went to sleep in Mandy bedroom.S’bu called Zake again to update him of what has happened since they spoke that morning. S’bu’s worry now was that even though Sivu was arrested the other eight young man were not and could still hurt Thandi. Zake managed to get emergency restraining orders for the eight and were delivered to each one of them by the police. The young man were very shaken by receiving a formal document from the police. It had been eight days since S’bu’s video was released and three days since Thandi was abducted and almost raped. S’bu’s wall was still full of comments his friends, followers and strangers had written. Having made sure that Thandi was safe and managed to catch up with his university work that he missed when he was home, he decided to make a statement.A few days ago I was recorded without consent and that video clip and a photo of me and Thandi was shared on university‘s student page and all over social media.
