The humongous room was extremely silent than usual.

Gold and silver chains littered the walls with a tinge of red inbetween it. Huge crystal chandeliers hung from the roof giving the space a bright glow.

Ilaria tuned out the mild whisperings of the people who gathered next to the two huge seats which were placed in the middle of the room. The royal seats were colored in specs of gold with red cushions attached to it.

“Do you know why you’re here?” The man sitting on the throne spoke with immense authority.

Her eyes gazed at his face, dreamingly. The only thought running in her mind; how could some be so attractive and frightening at the same time?

An abrupt sharp pain ignited within the side of her waist breaking away the daze she was in. “Rouge? You dare to ignore the King?” The guard hissed in anger. Ignoring the ache, her orbs searched for some kind of emotion on his face but all she got was a blank response.

“Answer, Rouge.” His loud raspy voice engulfed the whole area making the people shiver.

She slightly tilted her head at the question. What was she doing here in the first place? Oh right. She was betting with her dumb brain and the result? She got kidnapped by a domineering pack. As if she could tell them this reason.

“S-Strolling?” She answered, more like questioned her own self.

“At someone’s territory?” An unfamiliar voice entered her ears making her shiver in ultimate fear. Her gaze wavered towards the intruder who stood next to the King with his arms wrapped on his chest. The moment her eyes met his light green ones, she immediately looked away. Why was her body reacting this way?

She gulped and hesitantly nodded.

“Don’t you know it's dangerous and illegal?” He countered back with an amused expression.

“No?” She smoothly lied through her teeth.

“Little girl doesn’t know how to lie, hm?” His mocking light chuckles enveloped the surrounding. Ilaria looked back at him with an arched brow as she bit her lip to bite back any sarcastic response.

“Silence.” The man on the throne demanded. Placing his elbow on the armrest he rested his chin on his palm. “I’m sure you’re aware of the law about when a wolf breaks in someone’s land? It’s either immediate execution or tortured to death.”

Knowing it would hurt later on but nevertheless she gave him a stern nod. “Good. Then we’ll just have to final a date for your execution. Men, what’d you say?”

She hung her head in shame and pain. Was this the end?

“Rouge needs to be tortured before it gets executed.”

“Day after tomorrow.”

“Today.”

“I’d say we change things a bit; torture her until she decides to end her own life.” The people spoke simultaneously, throwing painful comments at her.

Closing her eyes shut, she fisted her hand on the red carpet.

“But King, the strange part is that me and my guard friends can’t smell her wolf. Is she a human?” One of the female guard stated, abruptly silencing the voices up.

Ilaria’s eyelids opened in a whiplash.

“Kyla is right. I can’t smell her.”

“Me, neither.”

“A human? What the fuck?”

She looked up at the scrutinizing gazes of the wolves. Her body trembled at their sudden hunger. Heaving a deep sigh, she tried keep her breathing at bay whilst she digged her nails in her palm.

“Leave, everyone.” The king finally dismissed all the members, except the green colored eye guy.

Ilaria blankly starred at her enclosed fist. “Raise your head.”

Intaking a few more deep breaths, she slowly mustered up the courage to look up at his deep blue eyes which reflected the depths of the dark ocean.

“You’ll be working under the maids until I decide your execution date. And mind you, respect my people, no matter what. Also if you want your last wish to be granted right now then ask away since I’ll not be here for the next week.” He said, harshness tangled within his sentences.

She felt somewhat conflicted between her thoughts.

She wanted to ask for shoes and a pair of pants to hide her bloody scarred legs but she knew she couldn’t, after all she was just a no one. Her body wasn't hers infact it belonged to the people around her.

People who converted her into a punching bag, a trash can.

“Be quick, little girl. We don’t have all day.” The green eyed mumbled.

Her cracked lips parted and she replied with a sore throat, "T-The place I lived i-in.. there is a.. a c-cat. Can you p-please feed i-it? It m-must be starving.. I p-promised the a-animal."

Both men looked at her in disbelief and shock. Was she even serious?

"Very well. It will be granted." The king spoke, gaining her hazed attention.

"T-Thankyou." She stuttered as a small smile formed on her face.

He gave her a small nod and called the guards to take her away to the maid quarters.

The two guards from before roughly grabbed her arms and yanked her up until her wobbly legs stretched.

"Farewell, King." The guards bowed in respect and turned around with her.

Tilting her head she glanced at the powerful men one last time before the doors slowly closed on her face with a thud.
