LOGINIn a panic, I dropped and slipped from their grip, ducking between the black haired ones legs and ran, both of them snarling as I headed for track building.
Annie giggled, boosting my speed out of their reach and I shouldered open the door of the building, finding it lined with rooms. Hide. Annie giggled again. Why are you so- In a panic, I'd gone to the first door I found and threw it open, stopping suddenly when the scent from the room hit me. A man rose from the chair behind the desk, knocking them both as he turned on me. 6'5" with thick muscles, hazel eyes and a handsome face strong face stared down at me. They're.... here. Annie breathed, making me falter. They're? Annie didn't answer as the large man spoke. "Hello, little one." He snarled in a smirk, suddenly in front of me, a hand wrapped around my waist as he lifted me with ease into the room, kicking the door closed as he spun me and placed me on the desk. His fists pressed against it on either sides of my legs, his height made him bend over me, making me crane my neck back just to look up at him. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-" I fell silent when he leaned in closer, inhaling my scent. "Are you hiding from those who tagged you?" His smirk was teasing and kind, his hand reached up, cupping my cheek. It was so big he practically cradle the side of my head, his fingers stroked though my hair. His hand was so warm, his touch so comforting and it set my skin alight with sparks and need. His thumb ran across my cheek and my eyes closed. I purred at the feeling. A deep growl left his throat at my action, my eyes opening as I squeaked as the door opened in force. I jumped, whining in fear at the noise, the large man wrapping me in his arms. "You're okay." He promised. "They're friends." He waited until I nodded against him before he let me go, taking a step back and crouched. My eyes met the blue and green of the Shifters who had tagged me. Their scents filled the room, mixing and forming. Mates! Annie whined in relief at the sight and smell of them. "Mates?" I breathed in question. They smiled at me and my breath caught. I scrambled backwards, my leg kicking out and I hit the large one crouched in front of me in the face. He blinked, taking the hit and didn't move. I squeaked in terror, curling into a ball and covering myself with my arms. Fear rattled me, a worry he'd react violent at any moment. "I'm sorry!" I whispered, tears shaking my voice. A hand grabbed my arm and I flinched, raising my head at the gentle touch, the large hand caressing my forearm in a soothing rub. "It's okay," he ducked his head to meet my eyes, seeing I was crying. "Oh, sweet little mate." He pulled my arms free and leaned, wrapping my arms around his shoulders and pulled me into a hug. "It was an accident, it's alright." He soothed, rubbing my back and kissed my shoulder. I felt so safe. "What's your name?" One of them asked behind the man who held me, his voice low and curious. I raised my head, meeting the emerald eyes. He frowned, stepping forward and I froze. His hands cupped my cheeks, his thumbs swiping across them to wipe my tears away. He held me there, raising a brow when I didn't answer, lost to the warmth and gentleness of his touch. "Rose....my name is Rose." I said finally, my voice low and submissive. "I'm Dane." He smirked at me, stroking my cheeks again and leaned in, pressing a kiss to my lips. I locked up for a second in fear, but the moment his skin touched mine. I was lost to the commanding and care that exuded from his touch. Sparks, tingles and desire shook me, but I held myself in place. Trust them. Annie soothed. I trust them, Rose. That was all I needed. I pushed a little against him lips, hesitant and unsure, but wanting. Dane smiled at my reaction, pressing a harder kiss and a small whimper escaped me. He pulled back, looking across my face at my dazed expression and smirked, like he was pleased with the reaction he'd caused. I blushed. My large mate around my waist leaned back, raising to his feet to stand between Dane and my blonde mate. I blushed a little at my own possessive thoughts. "This is Xavier and Theo." Dane pointed to my- the large one and then the blonde. "We're your mates, Rose." Theo smiled, stepping towards me and grabbed my hand gently, pulling me off the table and into his arms. My heart faltered and fluttered at his words. They found us. Annie sighed, sounding like she wanted to cry. I didn't understand, but I also wasn't sure I cared. I had mates. I....I was safe. Theo arms held me against him, looking down at me with such a sweetness it shattered my heart. "Can I kiss you?" He stroked my hair, pulling it from my ponytail to run his hands through it, making a small growl in pleasure as my head tilted. I couldn't stop myself from reaching up on my toes to press my lips to his. His kiss was different. Effortlessly soft and kind, he held me gently, like I'd break under his touch. He pulled back slowly, like he didn't want to end the kiss. His nose brushed mine, I blinked, realising he was nuzzling me. I leaned in and nuzzled him back, a small purr escaping my lips as our foreheads rubbed. I heard Dane and Xavier chuckle softly. I blushed at them, when Theo stepped back to them. "Such a pretty little mate." Xavier smiled down at me, reddening my chest. His eyes scanned my body, seeing my braless chest beneath my shirt, his brows tightened a fraction. Before he could say anything, the buzzer for end of class rang. My eyes widened. "Oh! I was suppose to go back when I got tagged!" I remembered, stepping forward to run from the room. I squeaked in surprise, thinking Xavier was stepping aside, only for his massive arm to hook around my waist and I was suddenly on his shoulder. "No, you don't." He chuckled, slapping my rear playfully. "Hey!" I giggled in protest, fisting the back of his shirt and pushing up to look at Theo and Dane as they followed, smiling. "Aren't we meant to go back to class?" I asked after realising we'd turned away from the forest line back to the school ground and headed for the parking lot that attached to the sports field. Xavier chuckled blow me, his hand on my ass. "I'll write you a note." I scowled at the back of his head in confusion. "What does that mean?" When he ignored me, I lent down and slapped his muscular ass cheek, almost yelping from pain as my hand stung. He laughed, jostling me on his shoulder to make me squeak and giggle. Dane answered "Means we want some time with our Rosie." I raised a brow at him. "So, we're just skipping school?" I paled a little at the thought of guardians finding out. Theo chuckled, the noise calming me. "We're allowed to." Was all he said.Ameliana Does he ever stop tapping his foot? I sighed, the noise of Dane and his incessant leg bouncing finally getting on my nerves. Sometimes, when he's asleep. Silvena giggled. Why doesn't he? The rest of them are. I looked across the private hospital room. A simple bed, an overhead tv, a wall behind filled with medical things and a bathroom to the left. The room in front was usually open for walking space, now it was filled with three couches that curled around the hospital bed. Theo, Xavier and Gabriel, all curled up uncomfortably on the too small couches, Theo snoring lightly. He's not. Silvena mentioned towards Gabriel. I rose a brow and watched him for a moment, seeing him breath evenly and his eyes closed. He looked asleep. She giggled, a some
"I have no need for your help, Guardian." He sighed bored, clicking his fingers once. The sound echoed eerily off the walls. My eyes narrowed, feeling the weight of darkness press around us.My mates fell in behind me, drawing weapons as they felt it too. Baynor chuckled cruelly. "Another has promised there'd be no Realms to quarrel over." He turned his vicious smile on me. "None you'll be interfering with, anyway." I paled, feeling the aura that stepped from the tunnel we'd come from.Jordon smirked at me.Only, his face was different. Half of was covered with black scales, removing his hair and his once hooded eye had titled and elongated, with a slitted yellow iris replacing his once stormy blue. Veron was devouring his soul, taking over him completely. This should have taken years! Not weeks! Jordon was a Wolf, a Shifter. He shouldn't have succumb so easily. "Wh
We wove through the tunnels, my light low as we approached the edging of firelight.Roddy stopped, turning his head to me.I crouched and scratched him. "You bargain is paid, you can go home now." He slithered forward, pressing into my hand.I have him a soft smile and another pat. "I'll be okay, but it's dangerous for baby Burhounds. Go, thank you." I stepped back to my mates, waiting until the creature finally crawled up the walls and into a crack above, its body flattening to fit. "That was a baby?" Xav asked quietly."Yeah, he's only maybe a year old." I shrugged, pulling a stone from my vest. "A year?" He hissed in surprise. I looked back him, confused. "Yeah, the ones in the bunker are only six." I think the knowledge that Burhounds grew until they died, their lifespan was nearly a thousand year, was what shocked him. No one had even found a full sized one, but there was rumours the tunnels we currently walked, were the insi
The smell of sulphur and death overpowered any wonderful scent my mates made. The cracked and volcano rocks that made up the tunnels to the Below were floored with dirt, bones and stripped clothing. Theo kicked the skull of a troll, half its face crushed and one of its tusks was buried in the dirt. "That's comforting." He huffed as we continued. I suppressed a giggle, but my attention was focused above us, keeping an eye on the large cracks and holes for movement. Something ebbed inside of me, my glowing igniting. The others turned off their torches. "Guess that's a good sign," Gabriel noted. I only said I'd glow, if I sensed Demons. I unsheathed a blade of silver, careful to walk around Dane as I kept my eyes pinned to the ceiling, the ebbing brightening my glow. "Rosie?" Dane narrowed his brows at me.I raised a finger to my lips. There's something above us. I sent to them all, opening a mind-link that requir
Abe had joined them, hanging back for a moment, unsure. I held up the sixth plate for him. He gave me huffed chuckle, stepping forward to take it. "You really are a sweet thing, aren't ya?" I rolled my eyes at him, smiling and started to eat. They had tracked Veron through to an old ruin of stone, deep in the rainforest. It edged a river, but Veron used a portal four hours away from it, a small camp set up with some of the Shifters working with him.And more Demons. Xavier had over seen a raid on a warehouse not far from Sparrow Falls, a base of operations for one of Veron's groups. He'd brought back a few items he'd found them making in the basement of the place, an odd potions set up he'd taken pictures of. We'd moved to the dinning room table on the other side of the kitchen beside the library, Xavier sitting me on his lap as he showed me. I shook my head at the image, scowling. "That's not a potions altar." I gestured to Abe a
It concerned me that they were involved. There was only two reasons. This war was about to become incredibly bloody, and they were vultures circling in waiting. Or, Veron had made a deal with Demons. I didn't want to believe that, I didn't know if I could. No one controlled Demons, hell, they hadn't been seen in...I felt the warmth and sparks, smelt his calming scent, before Theo's hand wrapped my waist, pulling me back against him gently and cutting off my thinking with a pulse and need. "Hi," he whispered into my neck, nuzzling me sweetly and inhaling my scent. I turned, wrapping my arms around his waist, his arms rose, curling my back and hugged me while I pressed my ear to his heart. "Have you eaten?" He kissed my hair, his fingers gently curling on my back in a sweet pat. I shook my head. "I didn't get a chance." "Come on then," he pulled me with him.His warm arm around me made me feel so comfortable and ti
Xavier Ugh, shit - that smell. Rose's blood was sweet, intoxicating and alluring - but the silver that stained it made my lungs burn and my eyes sting, a swell of unconsciousness threatening to take me. I kicked the shattered door that blocked half the doorway, the wood splintering into th
Rose I came out the bathroom stall, letting out a small sigh of relief. Lisa was really nice — but my Goddess, she was scary when she wanted to be. Annie snickered, but didn't disagree. I raised my head from washing my hands, freezing instantly. Black eyes stared at me in the mirror.
They palmed, groped and explored every part they could while I whimpered and panted between them, my knees shaking as they pressed against me to hold me upright. Dane flashed his tongue across my aching skin, as Xavier's guided my lips open. I gave in, my hips moving back into Dane's and my tongu
{Xavier} I closed the door behind me, leaving Rose in the guest bathroom to shower after trading her clothes for the blanket, and walked back into the main bedroom. Despite there being an open-air bath and shower ensemble in the same room, she was too nervous to bath in front of us. Well,
