Vanessa's POV

"Fine if you want it that way, but at least let us do something. Let us also participate in your wedding. You are your father's only daughter, and so is Andreas." Maria glanced at her father, who had more or less the same expression as her. "We want to be busy with things for your wedding. We also want to feel the happiness of preparing everything together." Maria gave me a warm yet expectant look.

I looked into her lively eyes and revealed a strong desire, I understood. That I am my father's only daughter, and Andreas is the only son Maria has. After our wedding, there will be no more weddings that will make them feel excited.

Maybe they, too, had great hopes and plans for their children's wedding, but since there was only us and we said we wanted to organize everything ourselves, it must have been hard for them to accept.

I nodded my head. "Alright, maybe I need help with a few things." Andreas smiled at me as I glanced at him. He stroked my hand resting on his knee.

I
