The next morning I helped Andre give the kids the classic Wallace breakfast before sending them off to school. While cleaning up I saw Elias sitting with Alice and another young man. I hadn't gotten his name but he looked a little ragged. The den hadn't changed much on the outside. It was still just a concrete building where dreams went to die. The room was less than impressive given the amount of money spent in clothes alone on these people. There were five others around the table when Elias and I entered.
