The Good Samaritan

Rose was narrating to us how she and Lyra met. "We were never acquainted." She said with sorrow in her voice. "We only met at the slave harbor and we became fast friends. We depended on each other."

Rose told us Lyra never showed any sign of being a werewolf.

I told them "It was the full moon."

"How do you know it was because of that?" Laura eyes me.

I lied about how I knew "My dad used to tell me about them. He visits their town once in a while. They are everywhere you know, even in human settlements. It's just because they blend with humans so well so you can't tell us apart."

Rose agreed. "You are right. So it's true what they say about them. That some of them shift involuntarily during a full moon. They can't control their shifting especially when they are emotionally threatened."

It is surprising that our master, Gary, is a werewolf. I couldn't tell Lauren that I had somehow known all along. "What will he do to her?" Lauren was worried.
