Chapter 38 - Silvercloud

It was a calculated risk. I knew that. I trusted Jaci and that Persephone wouldn’t let me fall, literally. And it worked out. Jaci was right that shifting mid-jump would add the necessary forward momentum to reach Dove. Then it was just a matter of Jaci predicting Dove’s movement to snatch him and trusting my mate to catch me. But now, as Persephone is scolding us, I’m starting to question myself.

‘Jaci, swap back. We can’t talk to her like this.’ I suggested.

Jaci grumbled as he stepped back, allowing me to shift. I know he was hurt that she didn’t even thank him for putting a stop to Dove. I get that she was worried, but she hurt his feelings, which is not cool. Another reason to take back control is to have a conversation, even if I have to be naked during the conversation.

“We understand you were worried about the risk, but you should have more faith in us átawit. After all, we had faith that you’d pull off the landing.” I sighed.

for the love of god, some consent would be good. people shouldn't think it's ok to tie someone up and force something in their mouth with consent.
