Chapter 4

Author: Cocojam
I froze. My mind went completely blank.

Has she lost her mind? What was she doing?

Right beneath the bridge was the "Chaos Storm" that led straight to the Abyss.

Down there, even a god's soul would be shredded to nothing!

Lyra was risking her own life just to frame me!

Before I could even react, a bolt of lightning ripped through the sky. Cassius turned into a flash of light and dived off.

I watched as Lyra used a tiny bit of wind magic to fight the violent winds, then collapsed pitifully into Cassius’s arms.

To make it look real, she let the Chaos Storm slice up her delicate skin.

Her magic was drained. Her face was pale.

"Cassius... it hurts..." She leaned weakly against his chest, tears streaming down her face. "I just wanted to ask why she’s doing this to me..."

Cassius carried her back up to the bridge. His eyes cut into me like knives.

"Guards!" he roared. "Pin this vicious bitch to the ground!"

Four guards rushed over and violently slammed me onto the steps.

"I didn't push her!" I struggled wildly. "The Sun God's Eye records all! Check the scrying record!"

"Records?" Cassius sneered. "You think I'd trust a lying whore?"

Lyra sobbed in his arms, weakly tugging at his armor. "Cassius, don't blame Selene... maybe she was just acting on impulse..."

Her fake mercy only made me look worse.

Cassius’s fury exploded.

"Impulse?" He looked at me with a savage smile. "Pushing someone off a cliff is an impulse?"

"I will have justice for Lyra." He looked down at me with cold disgust. “From now on, she can do whatever she wants to you to vent her anger.”

Lyra’s eyes instantly lit up.

"Then I want to cut the bond of fate between you and her!" she cried. "That way she'll finally stop clinging to you!"

My heart dropped. I shook my head frantically. "No! You can't!"

The bond of destiny between a god and a priestess was tied to the soul. Severing it forcibly was a torture worse than death.

"That’s against divine law!" I screamed. "You have no right to order such a punishment!"

"Divine law?" Cassius scoffed. "Why would I care about laws for a vicious rat like you? Besides, the bond can always be restored. Once you finally learn your place and admit your mistakes, I'll ask Father to bind us together again."

He summoned a pair of gleaming Golden Scissors and placed them into Lyra's hands.

The scissors glowed with a cold light, like they came from hell.

"No!" I thrashed wildly, but the guards pinned me dead to the ground.

Lyra stepped forward, a malicious glint hiding behind her teary eyes. "Too late."

She opened the Golden Scissors and mercilessly snipped at the invisible thread of destiny connecting Cassius and me.

The moment the blades closed, a wave of soul-tearing agony hit me.

It felt as if my very essence was being sliced apart. Every cut of the scissors brought an excruciating, unbearable pain that made me scream.

I was shaking from the pain, but I bit my lip and refused to beg.

Because in that moment, my heart completely died.

"It's not too late to admit you were wrong." Cassius stepped closer as Lyra paused her cutting, a sick thrill in his eyes. "Don't provoke me. I wouldn't mind watching you die all over again."

My blood ran cold. My pupils shrank.

Cassius remembered everything?! Just like me?!

In our past life, he watched my kids and me die without blinking.

In this life, he knew exactly what happened, yet he still ordered Lyra to torture my soul!

In that instant, my heartbreak curdled into pure, unbreakable hatred.

He gestured for Lyra to continue. "Are you sorry yet?"

"Beg for mercy, and we'll stop."

"I did nothing wrong!"

I glared at him, cursing through my teeth. "Cassius, may you burn in the Abyss for all eternity!"

His anger flared again. "Cut it all!" he commanded Lyra.

I shut my eyes, trembling as I waited for the next wave of agony to tear straight through my soul.

Suddenly, a deafening crack of thunder shook the sky.

"What do you think you're doing?!"

During my late pregnancy, Theron waited on me hand and foot. He even went down to the deep-sea ruins and fought the deadliest Siren King just to get me the legendary Mermaid's Tear pearl necklace."A gift to welcome our children." He gently put it on me. The pearls glowed with an ocean-blue light, reflecting the bottomless love in his eyes.Back in the Northern Wasteland, Cassius still wouldn't give up. He kept sending magic spirit-birds with voice messages, full of pathetic regret and begging."Selene, I was wrong... Forgive me... I know the truth now, Lyra ruined us... Please, just give me a chance..."I looked at those pathetic birds and summoned divine fire, burning them to ash. If apologies worked, my children and I wouldn't have died in my past life.Through the mirror, I saw the wasteland getting worse. Just to survive the harsh cold, Lyra had completely degraded herself. She was sleeping with low-level demons and reeked of rot.Worse, black spots started appearing on her ski

The raw power of the lightning shocked my fragile, severed soul. Searing pain hit me. I curled up in Theron's arms, breaking into a cold sweat."Selene!" Theron noticed something was wrong. He stripped off his armor, stepped into the water, and held me tightly from behind. His burning chest pressed against my back. Fierce yet controlled lightning flowed from his fingertips and his kisses, pouring into me drop by drop, soothing my shivering soul. She gently touched my belly, looking shocked."Your Majesty," she said excitedly. "These are indeed Twin Star-Gods! Their power

After the feast, the gods looked at Cassius very differently. They didn't look at his face anymore. They just kept stealing glances at his crotch, whispering."I heard His Highness's divine seed has withered...""Shh, keep it down. No wonder he couldn't even satisfy a wood nymph.""No wonder the Saintess Lyra was so desperate..."Cassius stormed out of the hall with a dark face. The whispers behind him made him want to crawl into a hole and die.As for me, I chose this exact moment to surprise Theron.During our starlight dinner, I pulled out a glowing golden oracle scroll and placed it gently in front of him.Theron paused. He carefully opened the scroll. When he read it, he froze completely."This... is this..." His voice trembled. The usually cold and steady God King actually had tears in his eyes. "Twin Star-Gods?"I nodded, gently touching my belly. "The Moon Goddess sent me a dream. I'm carrying twins—a boy and a girl. With supreme godhood."Theron broke into a massive smile. T

Theron kept his word.In just one day, every nymph who ever bullied me was banished to the mortal realm.I stood before the water mirror in the Royal Vault. The scars on my face were almost gone, healed by the spring and Theron's relentless lightning. Only a faint mark remained, giving me a fragile, seductive charm.Around my neck, the "Star-Tear Diamond" shone brightly. Theron put it on me himself yesterday. It was absolutely priceless.I touched the necklace. In my past life, Cassius never even gave me a common spirit stone."How ironic.""What's ironic?"A cold voice came from behind. I turned around and saw Cassius standing at the vault door, looking grim. He stared at my necklace, pure jealousy burning in his eyes."Selene," he gritted his teeth. "Are you seducing my father just to get revenge for our past life?"I raised an eyebrow. Hearing him say it aloud only confirmed the monstrous truth I already knew."Revenge?" I smirked, leaning lazily against the mirror. "Cassius, you

His voice shook.I swallowed the tearing agony in my severed soul and forced my head up.Thunderclouds rolled above. The suffocating black sky looked ready to crush all of Olympus. A massive figure descended from the storm.Theron wore pitch-black armor, his rugged muscles bulging beneath it, wrapped in apocalyptic lightning. Pure murder burned in his eyes, ready to reduce the entire temple to ash. The air grew heavy with the aggressive, overwhelming scent of the God King."I didn't push her!" I used my last ounce of strength to defend myself. "She jumped!""Still lying!" Cassius played the victim. He pointed at the dying Lyra. "Look what you did to her!"Theron’s gaze swept the room. It landed on me—covered in blood, my soul bond half-severed. His deep eyes instantly flared with terrifying crimson light."Are you blind?" His voice
