Syria’s POV

‘Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it!’

I hit send, then stood in front of the mirror, completely naked.

My eyes studied the reflection staring back at me. Every curve. Every inch of skin.

For a moment, I was mesmerized by my own beauty.

I reached for the bottle of lotion on the bedside table and slowly applied it to my skin, taking my time. The smoothness grounded me, reminding me I was still in control of something. Myself.

After moisturizing, I fixed my hair and straightened out the wrinkles on my nightdress. I was still locked in this room, but I made sure I didn’t fall apart.

My uncle was still furious. Angry at the chaos his own children had caused.

I didn’t know what was going to happen next. I didn’t even know if I was still safe. But I refused to look like a victim. I had to stay composed, look presentable, and most of all, protect myself. Physically and emotionally.

As I was preparing to go to bed, my phone vibrated on the nightstand.
