Chapter Three

She was putting them all in the fridge when she heard Lawrence walked in the kitchen.

"Where have you been?" agad siyang nilukob ng kaba sa tanong nito.

"I-I visited ate and bought g-groceries" she stammered in fear.

"You don't have to lie to me, you know" magkahalong kalma at sarkasmong sabi nito na lalong nagpakaba sa kanya.

"I'm not lying" halos paos ang boses niyang sagot.

"How would I know huh? You wrecked up my brain with what you just did before our wedding. If Sofia didn't told me about it then I'm still living with your lies that you're pure and that you're still my girl" nahalata niya ang sakit sa pagkakabigkas ng mga huling salitang binitawan niya.

"I'm sorry" she cried.

"Your sorry doesn't change anything" this time tears streamed down from his eyes. This is the first time she ever saw him cried. "Don't ever take another step b!tch!" he said angrily.

Ayla cried harder. "I have respected you in our relationship. You promised me your virginity! I respected you because I trusted you that you'll keep your word! And what now huh? Some stupid asshole took it away from me before our wedding! That's bullsh!t right? It's bullshit!" He slammed his hands on the counter top that had made her flinch in both fear and surprise. She saw how he frustratedly swipe all the groceries from the counter.

Ayla tried to stop him but he pushed her away and continued wrecking the place into chaos.

She was so unconscious with that fault pero bakit ganon na lang kabigat ang kapalit 'non.

Maybe it's really time to let him go.

She can’t last another day nor month for his forgiveness.

It was always like this. He always leave something for her to clean. Leaving is the best option.

  • The Great Pretender   Chapter Sixteen: Fleeting moment on repeat

Chapter Fifteen Fiyero wanted to ask for some information but he badly needed to know what Ayla thinks about that stranger. Did she ever blame him? Did he ever wish him dead? Or worse? “You’re in deep thought. Are you solving a crime case or something?” Ayla suddenly asked with a chuckle. He shook his head and simply ran his fongers through his hair. This could be his chance to tell her the truth but he don’t want to ruin her vacation by simply confessing about it. Ayaw niyang lumayo ito sa kanya. ‘It’s better for her not to know… for now’ he mentally decided. “What do you think about that stranger? Did you ever blame him after what happened?” He saw how she bites her lower lip as she look down on the bottle of whiskey. He was ready for the hateful words she’ll ever think of saying but all negativity drained down when he heard her calm reply. “I can’t bl

  • The Great Pretender   Chapter Fifteen: Her untold reasons

Chapter Fifteen Fiyero carefully placed a bottle of whiskey on the center table. He sat next to Ayla and poured a drink for her. "Did he r@ped you?" He straightforwardly asked. Ayla looked at him for long. It was a long time that she had once told the story. She was hesitant at first pero naalala niya hindi rin naman niya makikita ang lalaki in the future. She's from the North and he's from the South. "How did you even conclude that?" She asked as she folded her legs and looked at him straight in his eyes. Fiyero looked away and gulped his drink before talking. "The last night we're together, you look at me differently. You hysterically wanting to leave and you're trembling in fear. I noticed you have some kind of trauma so I conclude you've been r@ped." She went silent for that simple explanation. All the men she tried to be intimate with were angry at her. Lagi siy

  • The Great Pretender   Chapter Fourteen: Her Ex-husband

Ayaw niya namang tumanggi. She allowed him to ravage her again. “Where are we going?” puno ng pagtatakang tanong ni Ayla nang bigla siyang hilain ni Fiyero papunta sa kung saan. “My room. Do you want me to f*ck you in public?” Fiyero looked down on her and smirked. He never liked girls clinging unto him but as for Ayla, he always makes room for exemption. Just as they entered the elevator, Ayla was all smiles. When her eyes looked on the closing elevator doors, she saw two familiar faces catching up. Her bright smile suddenly faded when a hand suddenly stopped the closing door. Fiyero looked down on her when he felt Ayla tightened her hold on his arm. “Are you okay?” he asked full of concern. He saw

  • The Great Pretender   Chapter Thirteen: Freedom

Chapter Thirteen “Are you not joining them?” tanong ni Fiyero sa kanya. Wala itong lakas ng loob lumusong dahil sa phobia nito but look at her now, lumalakas na ang loob. “No” tipid niyang sagot. “So who’s Lawrence?” he suddenly asked out of the blue. Ayla looked surprised that he wanted to know about it. Mariin siyang napa-iling ng ulo. Fiyero is a total stranger. “Have you ever been to Canada?” ‘Why would he ask me that?

  • The Great Pretender   Chapter Twelve: Don’t ask the Obvious

But above all that pain, ramdam niya ang brasong nakayakap sa kanyang bewang. She remembered it clearly from few hours ago who that man is. He looks asleep but his hands are not. He was insatiable. Hindi talaga siya nito tinantanan. As for Ayla, it was her first time experiencing it anyway kaya hinayaan lang niya itong gawin ang gusto nito. Her eyes landed on his face. He’s handsome kahit anong anggulo ay wala siyang maitutukso. From his jet black hair down to his thick brows and high bridged nose, it was magnificent.

  • The Great Pretender   Chapter Eleven: Eyes on the mirror

Chapter Eleven "No! Stop!" she cried but Fiyero noticed she's looking at him like he's not Fiyero. She's like seeing another person. He never liked that idea building inside his head kaya muli niyang hinila si Ayla sa paa pero mabilis pa sa alas kwatrong nanlaban ito. "No Lawrence! I don't want to do this anymore" she screamed in total fear and agony. Fiyero has no choice but to pull her close and shook her enough to wake her from that daydream. "Ayla!" he called her name in desperation. "Ayla look at me!" he commanded in full authority. When their eyes met, he saw how tears streamed down to her cheeks. He knew exactly what is happening but he don't want to let this one go. "It's Fiyero" he reminded her. She blinked and quickly wiped her tears away when she finally recognized him. "I'm sorry, I can't do this anymore" she said in a hoarse voice. "No" Fiyero said in finality. "Let me remind you that you're with me and not with that f*cker you mentioned a while ago" muling
