Chapter 14

Author: Talking Cigarette
Anyone qualified to have this bank card was elite.

Sean was once the best warrior in the Northwest. As a nine-star commander, he commanded millions of troops.

He certainly qualified.

A nine-star commander was honorable.

Money meant nothing to him.

Power had also peaked for him.

"But that was in the past."

Sean slowly looked up at the ceiling and muttered to himself.

He once had millions of brothers following him. With a command, he could seize 4,000 kilometers of land.

Money and power were easy to come by, and it was easy to reach the top.

However, he was now in a small town, where no one cared about him.

Even his legs were crippled.

"But that still doesn't break me.

"Because I'm Sean Lennon."

Sean slowly withdrew his gaze. Then he took the silver needles and began to perform acupuncture on himself.

He had to speed up treatment for his disability.

It was unclear what was going on, and he was afraid to call Zander at random.

Sean knew that all h*ll would break loose the next time Zander called him.

...

The next day.

River City Larson Residence.

Early in the morning, Hugo and Homer arrived at Old Master Larson's place.

Homer was concerned about Old Master Larson's illness.

Hugo was ready to see Sean and Homer make a fool of themselves.

Yesterday, not only did Old Master Larson give Sean his respect, but Greg also called him a miracle doctor!

It would be a great irony if Old Master Larson had not been cured.

"Old Master, how... do you feel?"

Homer asked as he looked at Old Master Larson expectantly.

"I slept soundly yesterday!

"Mr. Lennon is indeed a miracle doctor!"

Old Master Larson looked very excited and could not stop praising him.

Usually, his temperature began to rise gradually in the afternoon and began to drop again in the evening.

By 10 PM, his body would be in excruciating pain.

It felt like ten thousand ants biting.

It made Old Master Larson's life miserable.

Ever since Sean diagnosed him yesterday, he had been monitoring his body temperature, and it had been stable.

By 10 PM, the usual agonizing pain had not appeared.

For the first time in ten years, Old Master Larson slept soundly.

He was genuinely grateful for Sean right now.

Homer was happy for Old Master Larson.

Hugo, who had been waiting to see Homer make a fool of himself, left dejectedly.

"Mr. Clark said Mr. Lennon's a miracle doctor!

"Mr. Clark was telling the truth."

Homer was also extremely grateful.

"It's a debt. A great debt!

"We must repay the debt."

Old Master Larson immediately got up and said, "Does Mr. Lennon want anything in return?"

Homer shook his head and replied, "Mr. Lennon is a bit of a weirdo. He didn't want anything. He just asked us to be nice to the Quinn family."

Old Master Larson nodded slightly and said, "People with skills are mostly weirdos.

"But we must repay Mr. Lennon even if he doesn't want these material things."

Homer agreed with his statement and said, "I think so too, but I don't know what to give. Money?"

"No!"

Old Master Larson waved his hand and said, "It's inappropriate to give money."

"Mr. Lennon's crippled in his legs and it is difficult for him to move around."

"Pick a car and send it over so that Mr. Lennon has transport."

Homer's eyes lit up. A means of transport must be what Sean needed most.

It could also show the Larson family's sincerity.

"Okay! I'll work on it right away."

Homer immediately got up to leave.

"Remember, give him something good!"

Old Master Larson ordered.

"Got it!"

Homer nodded earnestly.

...

In the afternoon.

Sean took the bank card, preparing to withdraw some money.

He was penniless. He must have some cash with him.

He could not even afford a taxi ride right now.

Therefore, he could only leave the house in his wheelchair and head for the nearest bank.

Sean vaguely remembered that the bank was not that far from where Willow worked.

It was also what Willow wanted. Her workplace was close to home, and it was easier to take care of Sean.

Sean propelled the wheelchair for about half an hour before finally arriving at his destination.

Bang! Bang!

Suddenly, Sean heard a noise.

It was as if someone was setting off fireworks.

Sean frowned slightly and looked in the direction of the noise.

There were a lot of people around Willow's workplace.

There were men and women. It was very lively.

There were at least hundreds of them, and many of them were taking pictures with their phones.

Many were holding hand-twisted fireworks as they set it off. Colored paper flew all over the sky.

In the crowd, a young man in a white suit was holding a bunch of roses as he beamed.

The young man was already handsome, and his white suit brought out his temperament.

He looked like Prince Charming.

"Quill Zimmer!"

Sean frowned slightly as he slowly uttered the two words in a cold voice.

The young man who looked like Prince Charming was Quill, who would not give up pursuing Willow.

These people have no to little sense of real honor! The way they insult and belittle a disabled war veteran. What?! Does he have to have a card that shows his service? An evident scar from known weaponry? I hope he makes Willow great! The rest of them don’t deserve anything!

"Even if you haven't stepped into the legendary Transcendence Realm yet, you're already capable enough to overpower most martial artists! Mr. Lennon, you've possessed such strength at your age. You'll surely enter that legendary realm one day!" Adam exclaimed. He had practiced diligently day after day for decades, yet he was only a Beginner Great Grandmaster. Even so, he was one of the most talented martial artists among several generations of Greendom Chapel members. However, that talent was as different as night and day compared to Sean.Sean was now only in his 20s, yet he already possessed the strength to rival the supreme priest who had passed away. There were no other people as strong as Sean in the entire Dragon Kingdom."Alright, stop flattering me. I'll have someone transfer 500 million to you later. You can use it to improve Greendom Chapel's current situation. When the time comes, I'll accompany you to meet that man from Melode Cathedral," Sean said with a smile as he sh

"Mr. Lennon, you also know how strong that old priest is. We Catholics only have the supreme priest who could rival him. Now that the supreme priest has passed away, that old priest has become even more arrogant..." Sean nodded slightly and sighed before expressing his regret. "It's a pity about the supreme priest.""Human life has its limitations. The path of martial arts is long and arduous. Few people in history have been able to reach the legendary Transcendence Realm." Adam sighed as well. He had already reached Great Grandmaster Realm that countless martial artists dreamed of. Even so, there were opponents he could not defeat and problems he could not solve."Mr. Lennon, since you're willing to leave that calligraphy in Greendom Chapel, you must have some history with Greendom Chapel. I wonder if you can tell me," Adam finally said after a moment of silence.Adam was the former chaplain of Greendom Chapel, but he had gone into seclusion to further advance himself after stepp

A Christian refers to a follower of Jesus Christ who might be a Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, or follower of another branch of the religion. A Catholic was a Christian who followed the Catholic religion transmitted through the succession of Popes, who were leaders of the Catholic church. Thus, All Roman Catholics were Christian, but not all Christians were Roman Catholic. The difference in beliefs had put the two in conflict."Could it be that their conflict has reignited? Didn't a Catholic priest warn those donkeys?" Sean asked with a frown.Adam nodded slightly and sighed before slowly replying, "It's just as you said. After the passing of Tiger Mountain's supreme priest, Christians often gave us Catholics a hard time. Now, not only are chaplains from all over Dragon Kingdom affected, but even Greendom Chapel has gotten into this situation."Most chaplains and churches relied on donations from their followers for their income. Once they lost this source of income, chaplains and

Meanwhile, a daunting aura rose from the old chaplain. The Brown brothers’ expressions instantly changed, even being forced back three steps by the pressure from the old chaplain before barely stopping.Willow's eyes filled with panic. She felt like she had encountered a mortal enemy and had her life on the line.Sean's gaze focused before he immediately reached out to hold Willow."Cut that intimidating aura out. Who are you trying to scare?" Sean snapped as he looked at the old chaplain. However, the old chaplain's kind demeanor changed. He stared solemnly at Sean and asked, "I'm asking who you are.""Who am I? Is my calligraphy in Greendom Chapel gone?" Sean replied indifferently. The old chaplain froze in place as if struck by lightning."What? The old chaplain is from Greendom Chapel? How is that possible… Greendom Chapel is a nationally renowned holy place. H-How could one of their chaplains be selling counterfeit goods here?" Willow exclaimed. Her hands covered her mouth

The smile on the old chaplain's face instantly froze. He looked awkwardly at Sean and stammered, "L-Look at my age. How could I engage in deceitful acts? God... I've lived a righteous life. I didn't expect to be so misunderstood in my twilight years..."Seeing the old chaplain's pitiful expression, Willow could not help but feel sorry for him. However, Sean looked disdainfully at the old chaplain before saying with a smile, "Sir, perhaps being an actor suits you better than being a chaplain."The old chaplain's acting skills were impeccable. He might even win a prize if he attended some award ceremony. With his white beard and the slightly worn-out robe that had turned somewhat faded, others might indeed mistake Sean for misunderstanding the old chaplain."Sir, you can't say such things! I've lived an honest life. You can't just tarnish my reputation!" The old chaplain pleaded earnestly, looking at Sean.Ignoring the old chaplain, Sean picked up a vase from the stall before him. W

Sean glanced at Elton and Bernie beside him and said with a smile. Elton and Bernie scratched their heads awkwardly and beamed. "After we finish browsing Antiques Street, let's head to the new company office together and get acquainted with it. At least we won't end up not knowing where our company is in the future."Daniel and his brothers immediately nodded. Then, the group continued to stroll through Antiques Street. However, Antiques Street had been around for so many years, and each stall was run by shrewd peddlers, who made it increasingly difficult to find hidden treasures.Even with Sean's keen eye, he had not come across a genuine antique after strolling through Antiques Street for so long. All he saw were counterfeit antiques that looked authentic. After another ten minutes or so, Sean suddenly stopped in his tracks. Not far away, an old man with white hair in a black robe opened up a large bag of items and placed the items on the ground. He then took out a small sto
