Chapter 9

"Let go of me!"

Willow got away from Sean's hand as tears began to escape her eyes again.

"I don't want to live like this anymore! I've had enough!

"No one understands me. Everyone laughs at me. I'm a laughingstock to everyone!"

Willow's emotions, which had been pent up for two years, exploded at this moment.

"Give me some time.

"Everything will change.

"I can give you everything you want."

Sean was silent for a few seconds before speaking seriously.

"We'll talk about this after you can stand on your feet."

Willow wiped away her tears and turned to run into the distance.

Sean slowly withdrew his gaze and looked at the lake in front of him.

"I will stand up.

"Everything will change too."

...

At the same time.

In a business club in River City.

"Master Clark, you must do something about Old Master's illness.

"The Larson family might be a medical family, but... we can't cure ourselves.

"Old Master's disease is also very rare and difficult. We're really at our wit's end!"

Homer Larson looked at Hugh with pleading eyes.

"Mr. Larson, why ask me for help?

"River City has a miracle doctor here. Won't you ask them?"

Hugh waved his hand slightly. His tone was somewhat resigned.

"Miracle doctor? In River City?"

Homer froze and asked a little hesitantly.

"Yes! I had no idea that a miracle doctor like that is in this little River City.

"I would have met him if I hadn't had to leave in a hurry."

Hugh nodded his head, and his tone was firm.

"Who is it? Who is the miracle doctor?"

Homer asked, sitting up straight.

"The man who brought this pill."

Hugh slowly took out a small wooden box containing the crushed pill.

"This..."

"Master Clark, you don't know this, but the Quinn family took in a catatonic cripple out of nowhere two years ago.

"I heard that he is engaged to Willow, the heiress of the Quinn family, so he stayed with the Quinn family.

"This pill is from him. What... kind of doctor could he be?"

Homer could not believe that a cripple in a wheelchair could be some miracle doctor.

"Do you know what this pill represents?

"Even if he wasn't a miracle doctor, he was definitely close to a miracle doctor.

"There are very few people in the world who can come up with such a pill.

"That's all I have to say, Mr. Larson. You can consider it on your own."

Hugh got up and left after he finished speaking.

Homer was silent for a long time, but he eventually made a phone call.

"Get the car ready! I'm going to Quinn Residence."

Homer wanted to try after all.

...

After sitting by the River City lakeside for a long time, Sean propelled his wheelchair and headed home alone.

This place was only a few hundred meters from Willow's home.

It was why Willow dared to leave Sean here alone.

"You've looked after him for two years! You've done enough in every way!"

Sean had just returned to the yard gate when he heard Fion's voice from inside.

"I know."

Willow's slightly stubborn voice followed.

"What do you know?

"Why won't you leave him if you know?

"Let me tell you. I, Fion Wilson, will never have a cripple for a son-in-law!

"He's even a cripple who's poor and culturally blank!"

Fion yelled at Willow with one hand on her waist.

"It's not like I'm hell-bent on marrying him. I just want to take care of him.

"Even if he's not engaged to me, his disability is the result of defending the country.

"For that alone, I should take care of him."

Willow's tone of voice could not be more firm.

"He's now crippled in both legs and unable to take care of himself.

"Aren't you just telling me to let him get killed by kicking him out?

"I absolutely disagree!"

Willow clenched her teeth and still refused to agree to Fion's request.

"It's not up to you!

"It's what the Quinn family and Old Madam want!

"He's been living off the Quinn family for two years. He doesn't have to pay us anything, but he has to leave now that he's regained his senses!

"The Quinn family even took care of him for two years. How dare he give such a piece of garbage? I was humiliated. He might as well not have given anything!"

Fion's voice grew angrier and louder as she spoke.

"I don't want to argue with you!

"He's still outside. I'm going to fetch him."

Willow was silent for a moment. Then she walked straight out the gate.

Whoosh!

As soon as she opened the gate, Willow and Sean met each other's gaze.

"You..." Willow immediately froze.

Sean was keenly aware that Willow slowly let out a long sigh of relief the moment she saw him.

She was worried about Sean.

"You veg, how dare you come back?

"Do you realize that the thing you gave was poison?

"Mr. Homer Larson of Larson Pharmaceuticals, who comes from a medical family, knew at a glance that it was poison!"

Fion scolded as she pointed at Sean's nose with one hand on her waist.

"That means he has no eye for good things either."

Sean glanced at Fion and said indifferently.

Willow was a little surprised to hear this. Of course, she knew how popular Larson Pharmaceuticals was in River City.

Even Homer said it was poison, so it must be true!

"Sean, how could you?"

Willow's beautiful eyes were full of shock and disappointment.

"I didn't."

Sean frowned.

"Hmph! He has evil intentions.

"Perhaps he will poison me and kill me. It's better to get rid of him as soon as possible."

Fion grunted coldly. She was willing to tell a lie to kick Sean out.

"Larson Pharmaceuticals can't be wrong.

"Sean, you disappoint me.

"Even if Grandma was wrong, you can't do that.

"You! You should leave!"

Willow clenched her teeth and turned around after saying that.

"Are you kicking me out?"

Sean sighed and asked as she looked at Willow.

"What you did is disappointing."

Willow said through clenched teeth as she had her back to Sean.

Fion stopped talking and looked at Sean smugly.

She was finally getting rid of this vegetable.

"Do you know I stayed in River City for you?

"I might not come back after leaving."

Sean said earnestly as he looked at Willow.

"Leave! Leave!"

Willow had her back was to Sean while her body shook.

After two years together, Willow still had some feelings for Sean, even if he was only a vegetable.

However, Sean tried to kill her grandmother with poison.

Willow would not tolerate this!

Honk honk! Honk honk!

Just then, two car honks rang in the distance.

A white Bentley was followed by two Panameras.

The three luxury cars were moving fast, heading straight for Quinn Residence.

Click!

The car door opened, and no less than ten bodyguards in black stepped out of the car.

"Mr. Lennon, we came to speak to you!"

They really shouldn’t keep calling him a vegetable if he’s regained his mental capacity. Willow shouldn’t refer to him as that.
