Rowan choked over his bite as soon as I mentioned my upcoming departure. Surprised, Waylen pushed a glass full of water to vigorously coughing Rowan. He looked up, grasping air to breathe while glaring at him. Waylen retreated the glass immediately and drank himself.
“But Lin, you just came. Why you need to leave this early? You haven’t even visited Avarland nor crescent pack.” Orson asked with his concern filled voice. He really looked worried, increasing the guilt inside me, watching his excitement to give a tour of these places.
“Maybe it’s early, but I still have to return, right? To my people. I can’t just let rogue take control over everything and beside if the news of King’s death has already spread across the kingdom, it will be very problematic to handle them and rest of the alphas.”
