 The dreams came fast and furious.

 Flames.  Screams.  The world burning beneath a blood-red sky.

 Rory stood in the center, eyes shining with both Elias’s light and Selene’s shade.

 Her words tore through the air: “I am not yours.  I am mine.”

 But then she fell crumbling, fading into light as the world broke around her.

 Elias’s words echoed dimly through the fire: “To save her, you must end her.”

 I gasped and stumbled back, choking.  The taste of her blood burned down my throat.
