Rocky was in a foul mood when he got back to the ballroom.

“Have you seen Leigh? Adam Fowler had been looking for his date, but could not find her. He was worried.

Seeing Adam Fowler aggravated Rocky’s foul mood. A niggling suspicion arose that the basketball captain had something to do with Leigh changing her mind about him.

He looked sharply at Adam who looked good in the suit Kade bought with his money and seethed inside.

“Am I her keeper? You are her date, you should know where she is.”

Noting the scowl on Rocky’s face, Adam turned to leave and started scouring the crowded place for Leigh while Rocky was left on the empty table, not even the least bit concerned that Regina and her friend were nowhere around.

A waiter passed by bearing a tray laden with cocktail drinks. He took two and finished them off one after the other.

A few moments later, Regina Clark came back. He saw Rocky being liberal on his drinks. She decided to pour whiskey into his glass.
