Chapter 30

Just when she was about to leave the dance floor, the music changed its tempo. The once gentle was replaced by an upbeat tune. The bodies around her started to sway and dance wildly, trapping her. 

Leigh’s temper flared.  She squeezed herself out of the crowded dance floor.  

Unaware of her personal issues, the dancers continued hopping, stretching, and waving their arms without caring about whoever they hit.

Leigh's eyes became blurry. The strobe lights and the alcohol she consumed slowly worked on their effect on her. 

Somewhere along the way, she lost Adam but did not bother to go back for him. She felt stifled. Everything around her is choking her.  

Her feet carried her out of the ballroom into the massive hallway. She walked while fanning herself with her hands.  She did not think that she could be bold as she did back there on the dance floor.

She was not like that.
