I will reject you

Lily gulped as she came face to face with Harriet. By now she had gotten used to the girl either sneering at her or throwing her a glare.

“I knew you were such a slut. How dare you ride with the Alpha triplets? Do you wish to taint them with your filth?” Harriet spat at Lily accusingly.

“They only offered to give me a ride, that’s all,” Lily replied, defending herself.

Harriet turned out like her father, Lily thought to herself.

“Oh shut up! You’re nothing but a whore. You think I’m stupid? Why would the Alphas offer you a ride when you’re nothing to them unless you let them fuck you like some slut.”

“I’m going inside now. I don’t have time for this.” Lily said dismissively as she walked past Harriet.

The girl was still fuming with jealousy. She couldn’t understand why the Alphas even agreed to give her a ride, much less do it.

She has tried many times to have the triplets notice her but none of them has ever considered her, except Nathaniel who likes to get under her pants, yet he didn't consider her a friend.

Lily walked into the house and made her way to her room. But as she walked past, she could hear Gerald and Monica arguing and from the words, she could tell it was because of her.

“I don’t want your daughter in my house,” Gerald said, frowning at the mention of her name. He acted as though her name stunk.

“But you agreed to my love, she’s already here. What would you have me do?” Monica voiced, her voice more worried for her husband than Lily.

“That’s because I thought I could handle it. But I can’t harbor the daughter you birthed with another man in my house. How would you feel if you found out I didn’t wait for you, my mate and I were married to someone and had a child with them?”

“I understand you my love, but what can we do? Do we send her back to the city she came from?”

Gerald paced around the room for a bit. “The Alpha triplets need a maid for their house. Have her move there; she can stay there instead, where I don’t have to wake up every morning to see her.”

Lily couldn’t hear any more of the conversation. Last night her mother had said she was there for her but now, she acted as though she regretted being with her father and having her as a child.

The pain was too much for her to handle. She felt tears stream down her face as she hurried to her room in a jog. If they didn’t want her here, why did they make her come to stay with them? Especially when she didn’t want it in the first place.

Lily slid down the floor and cried her heart out. Her chest clenched as she thought about all those years she wished her mother would check up on her once. How she blew candles every year, on her birthdays as she made those wishes.

If she had known the woman never wanted her, she would have fought to stay back at the house her father rented. She would have made herself work just to maintain the apartment.

It would have been better than being with those people, in a town where everyone treats her like a rag.

She cried for hours, cursing at the moon goddess for taking away her father until she fell asleep from exhaustion.

In her sleep, she had heard Sam knock and call out for her to have dinner with them, but that too was a place she dreaded so she focused on her sleep instead.

The next morning, she opted for an apple for breakfast to avoid having a conversation with anyone. All they heard her say was “Good Morning” to which only Monica answered.

Gerald had no interest interacting with the girl so he chose to ignore her when she greeted them.

Harriet was too busy with her phone to even notice the awkwardness of the situation.

Gerald drove them to school once again stopping for Lily to drop down and walk herself through the big entrance of the gate.

With sweaty palms and a nervous mind, Lily began to walk up to the school building. She tried to keep her head down and not make eye contact with anyone, hoping to avoid any unwanted attention. But before she could even go far approaching the building, the school’s mean girls, Finna, Jess, and Amber approached her.

They grabbed her by the hair and dragged her behind the school building. It seemed as though they had specifically waited for her to arrive. Lily cried out in pain as they pushed her onto the ground, and shifted into their wolf forms ready to attack her.

Last night, Harriet informed one of the mean girls of how The Alphas carried the new girl inside their car, although none of them knows Harriet is related to the new girl in school.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the school, Caleb, Gabriel, and Nathaniel felt a deep sense of unease. They shared a bond with Lily and they could feel her pain and fear. Caleb asked his brothers if they felt it too, and they all nodded in agreement.

“Shit, we have to find her.” Caleb voiced out standing on his feet as he began walking.

Gabriel who had been the meanest to Lily suddenly felt a pang of guilt. He knew they had to find her before she really got hurt.

Each running out of the classroom, they began to search for her, following the sound of her cries and her scent.

Finally, as they turned the corner of the building, they saw the three girls in their wolf forms surrounding Lily. Feeling protective over her, they growled, shaking the grounds of the school as a warning. The girls whimpered and submitted to the Alpha triplet.

“You touch her and we will have your heads fed to rogues” Nathaniel roared.

“Get away from her!” he ordered.

The girls shifted back to their human forms and fled the scene.

Lily was in tears and shaking and as they approached her, she refused to let them comfort her.

“Don’t touch me.” She hissed at Caleb.

“This is all you people do in this school. You hurt innocents just because they aren’t high-ranked. I can’t understand why the moon goddess thinks it is such a good idea to have me mated to the likes of you.” She spat and she stood to her feet, angrily wiping away her tears.

"And did you think we ventured here to rescue you, little Omega, merely because you are our mate? Rid yourself of such foolish notions," Gabriel declared.

“I don't care why you came here, and I don't want any of your protection. I don’t want you as my mate and I’m going to reject you.”
