CHAPTER 49

Grayson watched silently from his wheelchair at the dining table as Maya carefully prepared breakfast at the island counter with Yasmine assisting her on a Wednesday morning. With both of his hands still doing limited movement, Maya has been helping him with his meals since he came home and assisting the male aide that she hired for him when he will take a shower and put on clothes.

He also occupied the room that Maya had been using since she got discharged and she had some of their things moved there for convenience. Maya also stayed firm with her decision, despite his insistence, to sleep beside him every night.

It has been more than a week since he got out of the hospital and had started therapy for his legs and his arms in one of the rooms in the villa upon his preference. He also had Maya’s therapy session moved to the villa, where she has three remaining sessions left.
