CHAPTER 51

Maya wiped her eyes and sniffed quietly as she remained sitting on the lounge chair and watched the rain hitting the water in the pool, creating endless ripples. She could not forget the way Grayson had shouted at her when she rushed towards him to even just help him sit up.

After Benedict saw her broken at her spot, he immediately consoled and assured her that he will speak to Grayson and out some sense into him. Maya only nodded, unable to reply. Grayson’s words had stung so painfully that she could still not get them out of her head.

It’s been thirty minutes since Benedict had sent them out and Maya wondered how stubborn Grayson had become for the two brothers to still remain inside the office. Ever since he woke up from the accident, Maya had noticed some changes in his attitude. He became indifferent and even came to the point of quickly losing his temper. He also became uncooperative in his therapy session, giving the therapist hired a hard time.
