CHAPTER 56

Maya stared at the screen of her laptop, reviewing the report that her assistant had submitted with regards to the stocks that needs to be purchase as well as some damaged or loss items in the kitchen on a Monday morning.

After making sure that she had reviewed them one by one, she clicked the print icon and reached for the papers at her right side. Collating them neatly, she stapled the documents and started signing each page.

The door to her office opened and she looked up to see Jordan, filling the doorway.

“I was expecting you at breakfast a while ago but you left early before I even got downstairs,” he remarked calmly as he went inside and closed the door. “And you didn’t bring the bodyguards and driver that I had assigned for you.”

“I had a lot of things piled up that immediately needs to be sent out today,” she answered, gesturing at the documents she had so far reviewed, printed and signed. “They will be brought to Grayson for his signature as well.”
