Stanley's face turned cold in an instant. He had never forgotten about her taking the morning-after pill for Nathan. The lack of contact between them these past few weeks was his way of slowly distancing himself.

But today, she came back to the family estate for dinner. He thought she was softening, maybe even trying to make amends.
