Chapter 16 - Samael's POV

I search Aurora’s face, looking for any sign that she doesn’t want to do this. She looks nervous, but also happy, so I fling open the double doors to my bedroom and glare at a frowning Adelaide.

“Samael, have you not introduced her to your family yet? Do you understand what I had to deal with when I told your mother I was here to help your new queen practice her magic? I had to seal them all in the east lounge to keep them from running up here!” She's rambling, but I sweep past her and down the hallway, Aurora keeping pace at my side.

“It’s good to see you, Addie.” Aurora says happily to Adelaide who is trailing behind us, muttering profanities at me under her breath.

“It’s good to see you too, my dear. After you meet Lydia and Gideon, we’ll go start trying to understand your magic, ok?” she says sweetly to Aurora, who nods with excitement. I can tell she’s eager to explore her power, and I intend to make this meeting quick so she can get started.
