AYAH'S POV

He pushed me aside and ran toward his childhood sweetheart. The moment I stumbled to the floor, a sharp pain shot through my abdomen.

No!

Instinctively, I clutched my belly. Warm liquid spread beneath me, and when I looked down, I saw blood slowly pooling under my body.

"E-Ethan…" My voice was weak, barely strong enough to call his name.

Mia looked at me, and I knew she saw the blood. But instead of reacting, she suddenly cried out and pretended to be in unbearable pain.

"E-Ethan, my baby!" she cried dramatically.

Ethan immediately rushed to her side and carried her in his arms.

"I'll take you to the hospital," he said worriedly.

"How about Ayah? Look at her, she seems to be in pain too," Mia said, pretending to be concerned.

Ethan glanced at me coldly.

"Quit the act, Ayah. Can't you see Mia is in pain right now because of you? And now you're pretending to be hurt just to get my attention?" he said harshly. "We'll deal with this at home later. For now, I need to take care of Mia."

Then he turned away with the woman he loved first.

I was left on the floor, trembling in pain.

I didn't know what to do. I felt hopeless. No one was going to help me, so I had to save myself—and my baby.

"Baby… please hold on. Mommy will save you," I whispered to my stomach as tears streamed down my face.

Every movement hurt, but I forced myself to stand.

When I finally reached my car, my heart sank. My car keys were missing. I didn't know where they had gone.

Then I heard the sound of Ethan's engine starting.

He was about to leave.

Gathering the last of my strength, I hurried toward his car, hoping—just hoping—that he would help me.

"Ethan… please… help me," I begged.

But my cold husband simply looked at me with indifference.

"Stop being dramatic. You can take care of yourself," he said coldly. "Mia doesn't have anyone here except me."

Then he drove away.

As the car moved forward, Mia, sitting in the backseat, looked at me through the window. She smiled.

In her hand were my car keys.

"No! Give me my keys!" I shouted desperately.

But Ethan didn't stop.

He didn't even look back.

He didn't care that I was bleeding.

My strength slowly drained away. I collapsed onto the ground as the blood continued to flow.

Maybe this was my fate.

Maybe I was meant to die like this.

I was too tired to move anymore.

Just as my vision began to fade and my eyes started to close, I saw a man in a suit running toward me. My vision was too blurry to recognize his face.

When he reached me, everything went black.

"She needs to rest right now, or her condition could worsen."

Where am I?

I slowly opened my eyes. Bright white light filled my vision.

Am I… dead?

I didn't even get to see my baby.

As my vision cleared, I noticed a man speaking to a doctor. His back was turned toward me.

Is that Ethan?

Did he finally come to his senses and bring me to the hospital?

"Okay, thank you," the man said politely before turning toward me.

"Etha—Bryan?"

I froze when I saw his face.

Bryan.

What was he doing here?

"How do you feel?" he asked gently. His hand softly brushed my hair. "Don't scare me like that again."

Wait…

Was he crying?

"What happened?" I asked weakly. "How did you know I was here?"

My hand immediately moved to my stomach.

"What about my baby?" I asked anxiously.

"I'm sorry I came late," he said quietly.

A terrible feeling settled in my chest.

"Maybe it's better if you talk to the doctor."

"No," I said quickly, shaking my head. "Please tell me."

My voice trembled.

"Is my baby okay?"

Bryan looked at me with pain in his eyes.

"I'm sorry… but your baby didn't survive."

My mind refused to process his words.

No.

No.

My baby.

It felt like my entire world collapsed in that moment.

I wasn't ready for this.

I had been so excited to tell my husband that I was pregnant. I imagined his reaction. I imagined our future.

But now…

My baby was gone.

And the man I loved was the reason my child died.

"I will f*cking destroy you."

The moment those words left my lips, all the pain and anger inside me erupted.

I had endured enough.

In all the years we had been together, this was the first time I felt nothing but rage toward my husband.

I loved him for so long.

I supported his business silently, without him ever knowing. When his projects were failing, I was the one secretly funding them and making sure they succeeded.

He never knew.

He didn't know that I had my own company—not because I was part of the Russell family, but because I built it myself.

He didn't know that 70% of his company actually belongs to me.

Yes.

I am the major stockholder of Evans Corp.

Hidden under the name Zairayah—the mysterious investor with no surname.

He had always been curious about that investor, but I never revealed my identity. I didn't want him to feel intimidated.

"I am done loving you, Ethan Evans," I whispered quietly, imagining what my life would look like without him.

Everything we built together was destroyed because of his childhood sweetheart, Mia Walker.

And today—

I will be the one asking for a divorce.

AYAH’S POVEthan had no choice but to leave with Mia after I declined multiple times. I didn't argue with him, I just watched him go like a scene that didn't belong to me anymore. Zarry and Zach excused themselves as they have a meeting tomorrow. It's only me and Bryan. Bryan didn’t say much either, only stayed beside me as the noise of the restaurant bar slowly softened around us. For some reason, the night felt lighter after Ethan left, even if I couldn’t explain why.Bryan ordered drinks after that. I didn’t even notice how it started, only that my glass kept getting refilled and my thoughts started feeling… slower, softer, easier to ignore. I wasn’t used to alcohol, and it hit me faster than expected. The edges of everything blurred. His voice sounded closer than it should’ve been.“Slow down,” Bryan said quietly, watching me as I leaned slightly on the table. “You don’t drink much, do you?”I frowned at my glass like it betrayed me. “It’s just juice,” I muttered, then took anothe

  • The Heiress Married Her Ex-husband's Rival    Connections

AYAH'S POVNo one spoke after that. Even the people from nearby tables, who had been shamelessly listening, suddenly looked away like they wanted no part in what just happened. Ethan stared at me as if he no longer recognized the woman standing in front of him. Maybe he truly didn’t. The Ayah he knew probably would have followed him home, apologized first, and cried later. But I wouldn’t know that version of me. I don’t remember her at all. To me, she feels like a stranger wearing my face.“You’re serious,” he said at last. His voice was lower now, stripped of anger. I raised a brow. “Do I look like I’m joking?” His throat moved as he swallowed. For the first time since I woke up from that accident, Ethan looked cornered. Not furious. Not proud. Just cornered.Mia stepped closer to him. “Ethan, let’s go. She’s only doing this because she wants attention.” I laughed softly. “You really think too highly of yourself.” She stiffened. “Excuse me?” “If I wanted attention,” I said, meeting h

  • The Heiress Married Her Ex-husband's Rival    Choosing Me

AYAH'S POVI laughed so loudly that I caught the attention of nearby tables. “I was just kidding! Look at your faces!” I almost wanted to hold my stomach from laughing too hard. Bryan chuckled softly beside me, clearly entertained. “Are you trying to torture me, Ayah?” Ethan asked through clenched teeth. “We’ve been together since you were eighteen. It’s impossible you were married before that.” I could hear the irritation in his voice. “Right?” I said sarcastically. “I thought you wouldn’t know that. Is there something you know about me?” His jaw tightened. “I don’t need to explain everything to you.” Then his eyes darkened. “You left me for her, right? Now just leave. Or I will.”“Ayah, don’t be ridiculous. Can you please stop embarrassing me? Let’s go home.” He reached for my wrist and tried to pull me away. I immediately removed his hand. “Don’t touch me.”The table went silent. Even Mia looked stunned. Ethan stared at me like I had just slapped him in public. “I’m your husband,”

AYAH'S POV“Ayah, who are you with?”I heard a voice behind my back.It was Ethan—with Mia, his childhood sweetheart.I looked at them. Well, they looked good together, not gonna lie. Why did they drag me into their mess?“Ayah, I’m sorry if I called Ethan to rescue me. I didn’t know you two were on a date. I’m so thankful he came,” she said and linked her hand around his arm.I noticed Ethan didn’t even bother telling her that his wife was here and the former lover should know how to behave.“You left your wife to be with your childhood sweetheart? That’s insane,” Zarry said bitterly, making all of us look at her.“Oh, Zaryanna Russell, you’re here!” Mia said as if she was happy to see my sister.“Yeah, and so is my brother,” Zarry replied sarcastically.Mia immediately stopped smiling. I saw the change in her expression.“What are you doing here, Ayah? Why are you with the Russell family?” she asked as if we were close. As if she wasn’t hanging onto my legal husband.So... she didn’

  • The Heiress Married Her Ex-husband's Rival    12 years

AYAH'S POV “For twelve years?” I asked in disbelief. In my last memory, I was the one deliberately chasing Bryan. Me? Reject Bryan Mitchell’s proposal? That was insane. I had been chasing him for a year, so how were they saying he had courted me for twelve years already? I didn’t know he was that interested in me. “Bryan, I’m so confused with what they’re saying. I can’t remember,” I said. My tears started to well up like I was about to cry. “Hey, it’s okay, Ayah. There’s no need to rush yourself. You don’t need to remember everything at once, okay? Just relax. I’m here.” His voice, and every word that came with it, gave me so much peace. His reassurance calmed me immediately. Seeing how serious the situation was, my siblings quickly apologized. They both hugged me tightly. “We’re sorry, sis. We didn’t know,” my brother said sincerely. I hugged them back. “It’s okay. The accident didn’t go viral, so I get it.” But remembering Isaac’s words back when I was still in

AYAH'S POVI stared at them for a moment. I couldn’t believe my older brother and younger sister were standing right in front of me. Their expressions looked like they hadn’t seen me for a hundred years. Zach stood there with his usual sharp posture, hands inside his pockets, looking at me like he was trying to figure out whether I was real or just some hologram standing there. His gaze shifted to Bryan, who acted innocent beside me. He kept exchanging looks between the two of us, like he was already suspicious. Beside him was Zarry, arms crossed, lips slightly pouted, eyes already glossy like she was one second away from crying. My chest tightened. Why are they reacting like this?“Well,” Zach said, breaking the silence. “Are you going to keep staring at us, or are you finally going to admit you missed your handsome older brother? It’s been so many years, Ayah Russell. Oh wait, you hate that. You prefer to be called Ayah Evans.” He emphasized the surname Evans like I actually owned i
