Chapter 112 A VIP Entered the Stream

Author: Night Eleven
"Heartbound Hall? Got it!" Faith ended the call hurriedly. She then muttered to herself, "Report this to the police first, and then extract proof…"

As time passed, some viewers in the stream became antsy.

"Can someone tell us what's going on here?"

"Is the streamer not here? What's going on?"

"This streamer's so cool. So many people are in this stream despite her absence, and the stream is third on the Super Hot Trending List now!"

As the stream continued to gain popularity, the moderator grew increasingly anxious. The platform had strict regulations in place, including a warning system that would disable a streamer's account after 20 minutes of inactivity.

With the streamer absent for an extended period, anxiety spread among the viewers; they wondered why she was not back yet.

Only after dealing with everything did Aria notice that she had received two system notifications.

"The system has determined that this is a fraudulent account. A warning is issued."

After a while, Sam stopped and looked at Aria. "Boss, I've got it!" Aria walked over and opened the surveillance footage, finding the recording of her conversation with Warner. "Save this part." Aria's lips curved into a smirk. "Warner's done for." Sam nodded, his fingers flying as he edited the video. After saving the footage, Aria called Ulric. "Mr. Bancroft, everything's ready. Once the meeting starts, Warner won't have any way to recover from this." Ulric's voice was firm. "Good. I'm counting on you to expose him for what he is." Aria said calmly, "Of course." Ulric said, "That's right. When people from the other states first contacted me, I had my doubts. But you've changed how I see them. "People in Portfall have been too judgemental toward the rest of the country for so long. But now, it looks like we were the narrow-minded ones." "Most people just repeat what they hear without seeing for themselves." Aria raised an eyebrow. "You have to experience the real Far

The airport was packed with people. As Aria stood there, she scanned the crowd in every direction. Not only were there tons of people, but flights were boarding every few minutes. It would be tough to find Jethro in this mess. She closed her eyes and worked through it logically. If Jethro were to come to the airport now, he would have already bought a ticket and would have been waiting to board. The departure time would be right around now. She looked at the flight information screen, scanning from top to bottom until her eyes locked onto the third row. There was a flight heading for Borland. She ran toward the Borland security checkpoint. "Excuse me, coming through." Aria scanned each person until she spotted a man in a baseball cap. "Jethro Culver." She raised her voice. "I'd recognize you even with that cap on." Jethro's body went rigid. He didn't turn around. "Hurry it up. I'm in a rush." But Aria just vaulted over the barrier with one hand and clapped him on the sho

After hanging up, Aria quickly washed up. She knew Warner might be taking the bait, but only if she played this right. Once ready, she left her room to find Landon at his desk on a video call. Aria gestured that she was heading to Warner's place. Landon muted his mic and smiled. "Alright. After my meeting, I'll take Sam to Jethro's place and wait for you." Aria nodded. "That's what I was thinking. I'm heading out." She started to leave, then stopped. "Oh, have Sam hack into Warner's home security cameras. I'll need that." Landon gave her a quick "Got it." Aria headed outside and got in the car. Once inside, she called Ulric. "Mr. Bancroft, I made contact with Warner last night, but he's being really cautious about this. He just asked me to meet at his house. He probably wants to test me." She paused for a moment. "I have a plan that needs your cooperation. We can expose his true colors and secure your position at the same time." Hearing that, Ulric's voice dropped low.

"Hello, Mr. Stonehand." Aria stood at the back door, smiling at Warner. "Hope you don't mind me dropping by this late. I wanted to ask you about a few things." She paused, then added, "Oh, Mr. Culver's here too. Did I come at a bad time?" Warner kept his expression steady. "Mr. Culver came by to discuss some work matters." "Really now..." Aria raised an eyebrow. "I thought Mr. Bancroft told him to stay home during the investigation." Warner smiled. "I called him here for the investigation. Since Mr. Mourne filed that complaint, I need to look into it properly. We just finished talking, so I was about to send him home." Aria's smile didn't waver. "You really take your job seriously, Mr. Stonehand." "Thank you, Ms. Carver." Warner gave a slight nod. "But why are you at my back door? People might get the wrong idea about us if they found out." "I don't care what people think." She looked at him calmly. "Aren't you going to invite me in?" Warner stepped aside. "Please, come

Seeing this, Aria looked at Landon and raised an eyebrow, asking what was going on. She wondered why these two were turning on each other. Landon smiled faintly. "Fennel, this is your last chance." Fennel nodded, then said, "Jethro, you know damn well if I'm talking nonsense or not. Mr. Bancroft's right inside. I'm going to report everything to him!" Jethro's face darkened as he grabbed Fennel's wrist hard. "You're playing with fire, Fennel." He dropped his voice to a threat. "If you talk, we both go down together. Don't you want to live?" Fennel shook off his hand with a cold laugh. "Did you see this coming when you kidnapped me? Besides, if I turn you in, you're the one who dies. I'll get promoted and take your position." "Who told you that?" Jethro's voice was low. "Don't be rash. Calm down first."Seeing this, Aria cut into their conversation. "Mr. Culver, aren't you in a hurry to leave anymore?" Jethro turned around, glanced at Landon and Sam in the car, then looked

The newcomer was Warner Stonehand, the chief secretary of Portfall. Ulric turned to face him. "My assistant must've forgotten. I'll have to give her a good talking-to." Aria looked at Warner. "Mr. Stonehand, my apologies. I forgot to send you an invitation." "No harm done." Warner smiled lightly. "Young people make mistakes sometimes, and that's okay. Just be more careful next time." Seeing this, Jethro moved closer. "Mr. Stonehand, it's been a while. I didn't see you earlier, so I thought you weren't coming." There was something meaningful in his expression. Warner looked at him. "Mr. Culver, it really has been a while. You've been keeping customs running smoothly. Keep up the good work." Aria caught this exchange and realized Warner wasn't as simple as he seemed. The whole point of this banquet was to take down Jethro, but watching him greet Warner gave her a bad feeling. In Portfall, if the governor resigned or was incapacitated, the chief secretary usually took over
