Chapter 2094 A Disaster

Author: Night Eleven
At the York residence, Titus sneered. "You finally came home after all this time. I wouldn't have known you'd returned to Janovin if Keith hadn't told me."

Landon gulped and gave a low chuckle. "Well, I'm home now, Grandpa."

Titus gave him a sidelong glance. "Alright. I suppose I can't control you anymore."

Then, his expression softened as he turned to Aria, who sat nearby. His gloomy face brightened instantly. "Aria, did this brat get into trouble when he was with you? If he did—or upset you in any way—just tell me. I'll make sure he regrets it."

"Grandpa…" Landon began.

"Shush. I'm talking to Aria. Go make us some tea instead," Titus interrupted. "I want to hear what she has to say. Don't worry, Aria, I've got your back. Speak freely."

Landon shook his head with a faint smile, but the moment he stepped inside, the smile faded, replaced by a steely look.

"Did you find out where he is?" he asked.

"Sir, it's difficult," the crow replied, emerging from the shadows. "I might've be

To Aria, it was hard for medical practitioners to demonstrate real skill when most hospitals relied on machines. Not everyone had the patience to learn the intricacies of traditional medicine, including the four diagnostic methods.Doctors not only had to remember dozens of acupoints but also choose the right herbs to treat patients. In most hospitals, only a handful of physicians actually knew how to check pulses. For some, the whole concept felt foreign.Machines erased that need. Staff only had to follow prompts from scanners and monitors. In the long run, that convenience might be useful, but it also encouraged dangerous overreliance."Thank you for the guidance."The doctors at Janovin Hospital understood the subtext and turned to leave. "Aria," Warren said as he hurried over. "You've lost some weight. Have you been skipping meals? Is it because you don't like the food out there?"Aria smiled calmly. "Not at all. Landon has been taking care of me. It's just that I had too m

Aria reached out and shook Caius' hand. "You're too kind, Mr. Walcott. It was just a small favor.""How modest of you! I know what you went through to retrieve these relics," Caius said warmly.Aria responded evenly, "Mr. Walcott, each relic was packed in a shockproof box and sustained no damage during transport. Mr. Ahern from Los Stratos also prepared an inventory list."Caius accepted the stack of documents but didn't look through them right away. Instead, he smiled. "Let's postpone the handover for now. You must be exhausted from the trip. I've arranged a private lounge for you, and there's a welcome party being hosted in your—""Mr. Walcott, I'm sorry, but we have other matters to attend to," Aria interrupted, her tone calm yet firm. "We'll have to pass on the welcome party and leave right now. The relics are in the cabin."Hearing that, Caius didn't press further. "Alright, then. We'll take over from here. Anyway, where are you headed? I can have my men drive you.""Janovin

Aria didn't say anything. She had felt bewildered ever since she discovered the two cultural relics in Draketown. At first, she thought it was just a coincidence and simply brought them along.Whether it was the relics from Draketown or the white opal brush washer and aquamarine seal before her, all were gifts she had once crafted for her fellow Hollowlight Sect arcane seekers. Each bore a unique mark and was one of a kind. But that raised a troubling question—how had they survived through the ages and ended up here, lying among other ancient relics?Landon's gaze lingered on Aria, tender and steady, his voice soft. "These relics, and the ones from Draketown, were made by the same person. They all have 'Aria' engraved at the bottom."Aria's voice was low and hoarse. "I made them. You were there when it all happened."Landon gently patted her shoulder, his tone warm. "I know. Maybe there's something we're missing. They could be connected to your fellow arcane seekers."Aria lifted

"Stand still." Aria's voice was low and sharp, and her body stiffened. The sound didn't seem natural.Landon and Madden stopped walking and slowly turned toward her. Lowering her head, Aria shone her flashlight on the steps beneath her feet. There was a small dent—it seemed she had triggered some sort of trap. Holding her breath, she slowly lifted her foot. The moment she did, rocks came crashing down from the ceiling, and the walls on either side began to close in. The entire space shrank in an instant."Run!"Aria seized Landon's hand and dragged Madden along as she sprinted to the third floor. Sam was right behind them, moving swiftly. The walls behind them were closing in faster and faster, and rocks continued to rain down from above. Madden, old and weary, was falling behind. It looked like the walls were about to crush him."Sam, grab Mr. Ahern and run," Aria instructed, glancing over her shoulder. Without hesitation, Sam hoisted Madden onto his shoulders and bolted

It was true that they were in the FBI headquarters, but Aria's anger had already reached a breaking point. When Sam heard that, he shrugged off his backpack and began hacking on his laptop.Wesson frowned when he realized Aria wasn't bluffing. "Wait, let's talk this out. If you kill me now, you won't get away either."Aria replied coolly, "Do you know you can die without anyone even touching you? Let me show you what that feels like."Wesson froze. "Listen, what happened to your family wasn't my doing. I only knew about it. I wasn't involved. He's the one you should kill."Aria's gaze darkened. "You were so arrogant a moment ago. What happened? I wonder why Sylas chose to partner with a coward like you."She was only keeping up the act because the surveillance cameras were still running. The moment Sam stopped typing and said the cameras were disabled, Aria immediately leaped to her feet. She clamped her hand around Wesson's throat and slammed him against the wall. "Tell me.
