Thirty Two

I placed my hands on his arms and made him look at me. His eyes soften when they fall on mine and my hand caress his cheek, he was defending me here like he had known me for a long time. I moved closer to him, my heart was grateful and I used my lips to brush against his gently.

" Calm down," I whispered and ignored the stares coming from everybody.

When I felt calm enough, I turned to the writer.

" Martini," I made my order and Tony smiled at me.

" Same here," He ordered and it was my turn to smile at him.

He was always standing up for me, against all odds, and he made me feel secure and less alone. He was with me nonetheless, we knew absolutely nothing about each other and he did more than those who knew me.

' Eric is her past and I am her present," Those words of his rang in my head and it sent a feeling of warmth all over my body.
