INICIAR SESIÓNSienna's POV
“Sienna, what the hell is this? What are you going to do?” Wilder asked, his gaze shifting towards Sera, whom I had just laid on the bed.
He was my best friend, the one person who knew everything before I decided to leave the pack. He knew what Zev had done to me, but not the reason why I had disappeared, and why I couldn't go back, but I think now he knows it.
“Sienna, you're the Alpha's daughter. You're supposed to be the future Luna,” he said, lowering his voice. “Do you understand what this means? And the baby…” He glanced at Sera before looking back at me.
“I'm not blaming you, but what are you going to do if everyone finds out? You know how complicated things could get. The pack won't just let this go.”.
His words began to blur as I looked at Sera lying on the bed. I gently pulled the blanket over her and brushed a strand of hair away from her face.
I didn't care about being the Alpha's daughter or the future Luna. I didn't care what the pack would say or what anyone expected from me.
I had done everything once to protect my daughter, and I would do it all over again if I had to.
“What are you going to do now?”
“I don't know.”
My eyes drifted towards the door, where Zev was some time ago. I hope he has gone. I had refused to let him come in, and for once, he hadn't forced his way past me. But knowing him, I wasn't foolish enough to believe he would leave us alone.
I couldn't stop thinking about what would happen if he decided he wanted Sera.
Wilder had just told me he was working under Zev now, and I didn't even want to think about what that meant.
I needed to leave. As soon as Sera was well enough, I would take her somewhere else, somewhere Zev wouldn't think to look. I couldn't risk staying here and letting him decide what happened to my daughter.
But Zev had already made his own decision. He wanted me to return to the Moon Pack with him, and from the look in his eyes, he had no intention of taking no for an answer.
I walked towards the window, not wanting to think of Zev any longer. I needed to clear my head and think about how I was going to get away from here before he could make things any more complicated. But as my gaze fell outside.
A huge billboard stood across the street, displaying Zev's picture with the headline, The Best Hockey Player of All Time.
Of course, the world admired him. To everyone else, Zev Valerius was a successful hockey player in both the human and werewolf world, a man people looked up to and admired.
I walked out with Wilder, slowly closing the door behind me. My gaze fell on Tristan, who was placing the medicines on the table.
He was calm, responsible, and understanding, the kind of man who had stood by me through everything. He was someone I could imagine spending my life with, someone who had never made me feel afraid of what tomorrow might bring.
Yet, when he proposed to me last summer, I couldn't bring myself to say yes. I told him I needed time to think about it, but the truth was that I had never given him an answer.
He had never asked again, either. He had simply told me to take as much time as I needed, and somehow, that only made me feel worse. He deserved more than to be left waiting for an answer I wasn't sure I could ever give him.
Maybe I was too afraid to let anyone get close to me. Even after all these years, a part of me was still trapped in the past, unable to move forward no matter how hard I tried.
Sometimes, I think how I had ever fallen for Zev in the first place. He had always been that cold, arrogant bastard, even back then. But with my brother being his best friend, Zev had always been around me. Somehow, somewhere along the way, I had fallen for him without realizing how much it would cost me.
“Did she fall asleep?” Tristan’s voice brought me back to the present, and I nodded.
I was exhausted. So much had happened in a single day that I barely had the energy to think anymore. I had spent three years making sure Zev’s shadow never fell on my child, doing everything I could to keep her safe from the life I had left behind. But now he knew about her, and everything I had tried so hard to protect was suddenly falling apart.
I walked towards the sofa and sat down, looking at the medicines Tristan had bought. Before I could say anything, a glass of water appeared in front of me. I looked up to find Tristan standing there, waiting for me to take it. I accepted the glass and drank some water. I needed it more than I realized.
Wilder watched us for a moment before glancing at me. After a brief goodbye, he left, and I couldn't help wondering what he would tell Zev. He was my brother's friend, and I was afraid he might tell him too.
Wilder and I had been good friends throughout our childhood, but as we grew older, he got a girlfriend, and we barely spoke after that. Now, seeing him again after so long should have felt familiar, but something had changed. Maybe it was the years we had spent apart, or maybe it was everything I had gone through since leaving the pack.
Whatever the reason, I no longer felt the same connection with him, the same comfort I once had.
I barely slept that night, checking on Sera to make sure she was fine. Tristan has stayed in the other room, as he always did when her condition got worse. He had been there for us through everything, never complaining or making me feel like a burden.
He was a good man. He was more than I deserved, so why couldn't I say yes when he proposed? Was it fear, or was there something I didn't want to admit? I didn't know. I was too tired to think anymore, so I closed my eyes.
When I woke up around six, I checked on Sera, and my heart nearly stopped. Strange red spots, like bruises, covered her skin, and she felt frighteningly cold.
“Sera, baby, wake up.” I shook her gently before rushing out with her in my arms.
Tristan followed me, and we hurried towards the door.
But the moment I opened it, I froze. Zev was standing right outside. Had he stayed there the whole night?
I ignored him and walked past, but the moment his eyes landed on her, he followed us.
“What happened to her, Sienna?” he asked, his eyes fixed on Sera.
I didn't answer. I just wanted to get her to the hospital, but Zev grabbed my arm.
“Let her go before I break your hand,” Tristan warned," I had never seen him like this before. He looked ready to fight, but Zev wasn't someone who backed down easily.
I didn't care about either of them. All I cared about was my daughter.
“Leave me alone, Zev,” I snapped, as his hold loosened.
His gaze moved from my face to Sera, worry clear in his eyes.
“I'll take you to the hospital. What happened to her? Why does she have those bruises?” he asked.
I ignored him and got into Tristan's car.
The whole time we waited, my heart wouldn't stop pounding. Tristan stayed close to me, while Zev paced in front of the door, his face cold. But every time his eyes fell on me, I could see what he was trying to hide.
Hours passed before the doctor finally came out and told us Sera's condition was getting worse. They still didn't know what was wrong with her or how to treat it.
I stood outside the glass, watching my little girl lying under observation, and tears slipped down my face. I couldn't lose her. I would do anything to save my daughter, and that I made a decision that will change my life forever.
I wiped my tears, I walked towards Zev and forced myself to speak.
“I'm coming to the Moon Pack with Sera.” His eyes flickered with surprise, as if he hadn't expected me to agree so easily.
Sienna's POVI opened my cupboard and pulled out the clothes and other things I needed to pack. My heart felt heavy, and I couldn't stop wondering if I had made the right choice. But if going back to the Moon Pack could save Sera's life, I was ready to make any mistake, even if I ended up regretting it later. My phone vibrated, pulling me out of my thoughts. I walked to the table, picked it up, and answered.“I've done what you told me,” a voice said.“I'll be there soon,” Tristan replied before ending the call.I sat on the edge of the bed, staring at the half-packed suitcase. Sienna’s POVHe had always been short-tempered, a man who wanted everything under his control. He was ruthless and cruel, and sometimes, I hated myself for ever falling in love with him.I hated how, even after everything, his presence still made my heart race and my hands tremble. I hated the effect he had on me. I once thought that beneath his cold nature and possessive behaviour was a man who loved me, but I had been wrong.I felt an unknown fear rising inside me. I remembered who Zev Valerius was. If he wanted something, he could go to any extent to get it. When he said it was just good sex and nothing more, I never thought he would enter my life again against my will. I was afraid of what he wanted from me now, and most of all, knowing that he knew about Sera made my heart turn to ice. What if he tried to take her away from me?I knew he could do anything. I wasn't going to step back. I stepped between them, unable to believe that even now, after everything that had happened, Z
Zev's POVThe world stopped for me the moment my eyes fell on the little child in Sienna's arms.It was a girl. Her little face had turned red from crying, and her tiny fingers were clenching tightly onto Sienna's clothes as she struggled to breathe. This realization made my heart feel something I couldn't understand. When her vivid green eyes stared back at me briefly before she buried her face against Sienna's chest, making my body go completely numb.My wolf stirred violently inside me, restless and almost impossible to control.Mine.The word echoed through my mind, bringing with it a possessiveness so fierce that I had to clench my fists to keep myself from reaching for her.She is mine. No, it couldn't be true.I tore my eyes away from the small child, who looked like she had been ripped straight out of my blood, and turned my gaze towards Sienna, wanting an explanation even though I already knew the answer. Her entire attention was fixed on the child, as if I didn't exist.Thre
Sienna's POVMy eyes remained fixed on him, but my legs moved backward automatically. His eyes followed every movement I made. My hand clenched tightly around the door, ready to slam it shut, but his hand slipped between the door and the frame, gripping it before I could.“Sienna, we need to talk.” His voice came. His words only made my blood boil.“There is nothing to talk about. Leave. The door!” My voice came out rougher than I expected, and I was grateful for it.Sera was sleeping upstairs. What if he felt that connection with her? What if he took her away from me? What if he tore apart the little life I had fought so hard to build and took everything from me again? There was so much strength behind his push that I tried to match it, desperately trying to keep him out, but I couldn't. With one harsh shove, he forced the door open and stepped inside. His familiar fragrance hit me, dragging all those stupid memories back with it, all the moments we spent together.Three years of for
Sienna’s POVFor three years, I had lived with one rule: never let anyone from the Moon Pack find me.My gaze drifted toward the table where my three-year-old daughter sat.“Sera, don't do this. Your dress will be ruined, sweetheart," I said, gently taking the crayon from her hand.Sera pouted, her little lips forming the cutest frown. She loved coloring in her drawing books, but right now, she had decided to use her white dress as her canvas."Later, we have to go to the hospital, remember? So, can you please be Mommy's good girl and not make a mess?" I murmured, taking her small hand in mine. Her smile disappeared. “Do I have to?”“Yes.”“But I don't like doctors.”“I know.” I crouched in front of her and fixed the collar of her dress. “We'll get something sweet afterward. Deal?”Her eyes immediately brightened. As I looked into her wide eyes, my hand went completely still. Those vivid green eyes were an exact replica of a man I had spent three years trying to erase from my memory.
