Jace's POV

I wanted to crush him with every fibre in me. The victory smirk plastered across his face ignited something primal inside my chest, a white-hot rage that clawed at my insides like a caged animal. My jaw clenched so hard I could taste copper on my tongue, and my fists curled until my knuckles went bone-white.

"I don't know what games you're playing, but leave here before I do something crazy to you." The words came out low and dangerous, vibrating with barely contained fury.

"Easy, tiger..." He chuckled, the sound grating against my nerves like nails on a chalkboard as I moved closer, invading his space. The smell of his cheap cologne mixed with the cold, metallic scent of the rink made my stomach twist. "Save your energy for the NHL games. You'll need it, considering the fact that you were falling on and off the ice last time like a broken puppet on strings."

Every word felt like a blade slicing through the thin thread of my composure. My saliva turned bitter, almost acidic

  • The Hockey Star's Spicy Stripper   CHAPTER 135: Bittersweet Tales

Sabrina's POVThe tears came before I could stop them, hot and fast, blurring my vision until Jace's concerned face became nothing but a smear of colour. My whole body started shaking, trembling like I was coming apart at the seams, and suddenly I was back there, back to that night months ago when I'd gotten the call about Skye. The hospital. The sterile white walls. The blood. So much blood."She lost the baby," the doctor had said, his voice clinical and detached, like he was telling us about a failed experiment and not the death of my would-be niece or nephew. "The trauma to her abdomen was too severe. I'm sorry."Skye had looked so small in that hospital bed, her face a canvas of purple and black bruises, her lip split, her arm in a cast. And when she'd turned those hollow eyes to me and whispered, "He said he didn't mean it. He said he loved me." I'd wanted to kill Dante with my bare hands."Sabrina? Baby, talk to me. What's happening?" Jace's voice cut through the memory, pullin

  • The Hockey Star's Spicy Stripper   CHAPTER 134: The Perfect Day Before the Fall

Sabrina's POV"Come on, we're not spending the entire day in this hotel," Jace announced after I'd ended Nico's call, his voice cutting through the fog of dread that had settled over me. He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the pool, water cascading off our bodies. "I want to show you the city. The real New York, not just the parts you've seen."I wanted to protest, to tell him I needed time to think, to process Nico's threat. But the look in his eyes, so full of excitement and hope, made me swallow my words. Maybe one perfect day wouldn't hurt. Maybe I deserved this before everything came crashing down."Let me at least get dressed first," I said with a small laugh, wrapping a towel around myself."Make it quick. We've got a whole city to conquer."Two hours later, we were walking down Fifth Avenue, and I felt like I'd stepped into a different world. Jace was dressed casually in dark jeans and a fitted black shirt that showed off his athletic build, but even in simple clothes, peo

  • The Hockey Star's Spicy Stripper   CHAPTER 133: The Devil's Countdown

Sabrina's POVI jerked awake with a scream that tore from my throat, raw and desperate. My body convulsed so violently that I nearly fell off the bed, tangled in sheets that suddenly felt like restraints. The nightmare clung to me like a second skin, refusing to let go even as my eyes adjusted to the darkness of the hotel room."Oh my God! Are you alright?" Jace jerked up beside me, his voice thick with sleep and alarm. Our hearts were both palpitating, the sound of our ragged breathing filling the silence. His hand found mine in the darkness, squeezing tight."I just had... it was... I saw..." I couldn't compose a complete sentence because I was still trapped somewhere between the dream and reality. My hands were shaking, my whole body trembling like a leaf in a storm. It was terrifying, seeing my mom again after so many years, even if it was just in a nightmare. Her voice still echoed in my head: shrill, accusatory, cutting me down the way she always had."It's alright, just go back

  • The Hockey Star's Spicy Stripper   CHAPTER 132: Glimpse Of Heaven

Sabrina's POVThe kiss wasn't the type an angry man would give; it was full of passion and love, and before I knew what was happening, my gown was pooled on the floor like silk water. We kissed until he lifted me and placed me gently on the bed, his hands reverent as if I were something precious, something worth treasuring."Jace, you're drunk..." I started to protest, but he didn't even let me finish my statement before lifting me, positioning me carefully on the bed and continuing his trail of kisses down my neck."Let me do my thing..." he said calmly, his voice a low rumble against my skin as he continued kissing every part of my body that would make me jerk and gasp. His touch was deliberate, purposeful, as if he'd memorised a map of every place that made me come alive."But you're drunk. Are you sure you want this?" I asked again, my voice barely a whisper, knowing fully well what the answer would be. Part of me needed to hear him say it, needed the reassurance that this wasn't

  • The Hockey Star's Spicy Stripper   CHAPTER 131: Obsession

Sabrina's POVI was pacing around the living room, the hardwood floor creaking beneath my restless feet. My phone felt slick with sweat in my trembling hand as I tapped it rhythmically against my palm; a nervous habit I couldn't shake. The late afternoon sun cast long shadows across the room, making everything feel darker, more ominous than it should have been."So what are you going to do now?" Bree asked from where she sat curled up on the couch, her voice cutting through the thick silence that had settled over us like fog."I have no idea, Bree." My throat tightened as the words came out, each syllable feeling like broken glass. "What if he knows about the…" I paused mid-sentence, my eyes darting toward Skye, who sat cross-legged on the armchair by the window, completely lost in our cryptic conversation. The evening light caught her hair, making her look almost angelic in her innocence. She had no clue why panic was clawing at my insides, no idea what kind of danger we were dancing

  • The Hockey Star's Spicy Stripper   CHAPTER 131: The Confrontation

Sabrina's POVI sat at the balcony of our apartment, fingers tracing the rusted iron railing that had once gleamed silver in the afternoon sun. It was nothing fancy, but good enough to see above the roofs of old houses and the jampacked road below, where cars honked endlessly like a discordant symphony. The balcony's door had always been locked; it had been like that since our parents moved out of the house, leaving behind more than just furniture and dust. They left behind fragments of a life we used to know, pieces of a family that once felt whole. This used to be our safe space, our sanctuary from the world. We would all stay here and watch the sunset while we shared tacos, the smell of cilantro and lime mixing with the evening breeze. Mom would tell stories about her childhood in Mexico, Dad would crack terrible jokes that only Ami found funny, and Skye would pretend to be annoyed but I could always see the smile tugging at her lips. Those were the last memories before my family fe
