"Dad, I don't want to get married", Elara practically yelled in front of her father who was too busy to be even bothered by her complaints, too much caught up in his files and materialistic world.

"You don't have any choice Elara, you have to marry him, he is the only one who can save my collapsing company", Cedric, Elara's father let out sternly.

"I don't fucking care, I was not the one who told you to waste the company's money on that gambling shit and now when you can't pay the debt you are forcing me into this unwanted marriage, how cruel father you are"?? Elara yelled with fire in her eyes.

"Ohh shut up, if I was that cruel I wouldn't have let you pursue your dreams and passion l ", Cedric said shutting down his laptop.

Elara sarcastically chuckled and said, "Oh please, Do you think of me as a fool??? I know Grandpa forced you to support me, if it wasn't for him you would've forcefully made me the CEO of the company of my grandpa, you actually ruined the company, grandpa knew how to run this company way better than you".

Cedric fumed in anger and stood up with force which made the chair to fall backward and lashed out saying , "Stop being disrespectful, I am your father okay, atleast do something for your family, you are so selfish,

didn't take over the company, chose to make your career in that shitty sports like fencing, i didn't stop you that time but now you have to obey me".

"Which family are you talking about?? The family in which you were never present, always used to to stay with your shitty characterless drunkard friends, have you ever thought about me or

Mom"? Elara asked loudly.

"Don't bring Suzanne in this matter, I have always cared for you both", Cedric said, this time his pitch lower, a contrast to his earlier yellings.

"Stop this melodrama, don't you get tired of pretending like a good father, atleast stop this bullshit infront of me, if you have cared enough

YOU WOULDN'T HAVE KILLED MY MOTHER ", Elara yelled as hot tears slipped from the corner of her eyes.

Hearing her yelling and the words that slipped past her tongue Cedric couldn't control his rage and,

Slap!!!

He slapped Elara hard which made her face turn sideways, Elara felt that sting on her cheek but the sting she was feeling in her chest was way worse.

"Stop bringing the past every time you feel like you are losing the verbal battle between us", Cedric let out ignoring Elara's pained expression and tried to control his inner turmoil.

"Is my mother's death a plaything to you, I am not like you , do you think I would use her to win a verbal battle ?? She is my mother for God sake, you heard Mr.Cedric Ashford, I , Elara Montclair will not marry the guy you chose", Elara finished.

"Even he is not dying to marry you, don't think high of yourself, he is marrying you only for business and not to mention Elara Montclair, you took your mother's last name gracefully but you will also fulfill HER LAST WISH OF MARRYING THE MAN I CHOSE FOR YOU respectfully", Cedric declared which left Elara out of words.

She recalled something, memories from a year back surfaced, crashing her in the bones, dark room, Suzanne laying on the floor with blood oozing out from her stomach, Cedric sitting next to her frozen, bloody knife in his hand.

Elara rushed towards her mother only to hear her saying, "Elara marry the man Cedric choose for you", everything stopped when Suzanne closed her eyes for forever.

"You are compelled to fulfill her last wish Elara, only that will make you a true daughter of Suzanne, she never backed away from her words, she gave me everything willingly, you- Elara will simply fulfill your duty", Cedric's words were sharp knife piercing her right in the chest .

She loves her mother as much as she resents her last wish, she still doesn't get why her mother wanted her to marry the man of Cedric's choice, the answers of her questions left with her mother a year back.

"I will marry the Man you chose, not because you won but because my love for my mother is way bigger than my hate towards you, I will help the company to be saved from being bankrupt not because you are the CEO but because it belonged to my Mom and grandpa before you got it as marriage gift", Elara said heavy heartedly.

"Okay then, meet the guy I chose for you tomorrow , I will soon arrange your marriage, don't create a scene in front of him, I will send you his picture", Cedric said normally keeping his rage within himself grabbing his phone .

"What's the point of this formality now, even if that man is not even worth looking at, I eventually have to marry him only as I am compelled to do that, you have chosen him then he must be an asshole only,

What can I even expect from you?? Don't know what Mom saw in you and decided to marry you on top of that gave you her company to handle ", Elara finished being very disappointed.

"If you are done with your dramas then leave, i have got tons of work to do", Cedric ordered Elara who huffed loudly and stormed out of the office slamming the door shut behind her which made Cedric flinch badly as he cursed Elara in her mind.

Elara got out of the company, she sat on the bench near the crosswalk, she felt that sting and heaviness of her father's words in her heart, she continued to stare at nothing, her eyes hollow but then it flickered with something.

Determination

She took a deep breath determined to make her father pay for the sin of killing her mother.

A hard slam echoed against the door. Both of them froze instantly. Leo pulled back first, eyes wide with panic. Theo's jaw tightened. Another knock came, louder this time. "Theo?" Their blood ran cold. Leo's fingers instinctively clutched Theo's shirt tighter. Who would come here at this hour? And worse...... What if they got caught? The room suddenly felt too small, the air too heavy. Because this.... This wasn't something the world would understand. Their stolen touches. Their hidden glances. The way Theo looked at Leo like he was something precious. This was their secret. Their love. Their forbidden love. And if the wrong person discovered it… Everything would fall apart. Thud!!! Thud!!! The violent banging against the door echoed through the silent palace hallway, each hit louder than the last. Theo instantly pulled away from Leo and climbed off the bed, quickly helping him stand as well. For one brief second, their eyes met. Leo's gaze trembled with fear.

"Where are you lost?" Lyra asked, her voice gentle as it pulled Elara back from the maze of her thoughts.Elara blinked, forcing a small, distant smile. "Nothing… I was just thinking about you." Her gaze softened, then darkened with quiet resolve. "But something like this shouldn't continue."Lyra frowned, tilting her head slightly. “What shouldn't continue?"Elara hesitated for a heartbeat before answering, her voice steady but laced with something deeper. "Royals marrying royals. Everyone should have the right to choose who they love… without outsiders deciding for them."Lyra studied her for a moment, then gave a slow nod. "In your world, there must be no such restrictions. You can do whatever you want." A faint, bitter chuckle escaped her lips.Elara's eyes dropped. "I wish that were true…" she murmured so softly it never quite reached Lyra. The sun dipped lower, spilling molten gold across the Moonveil Garden. The sacred grounds shimmered in the fading light, untouched and silen

"Took you long enough. I was about to proceed without you if you hadn’t come soon," Elara muttered as she walked down the hallway, her steps brisk but not hurried."You know, Luci can't survive a day without talking to me," Lyra said casually, flipping her hair as she matched Elara's pace."I highly doubt that," Elara replied with a faint smile.Lyra gasped dramatically, pressing a hand to her chest. "You wound me. Truly. I am deeply hurt."Elara let out a soft laugh. "You're too much, Lyra… but very endearing."For a fleeting second, Lyra's theatrics melted into something softer, a slight blush creeping onto her face at the compliment. As they reached the chamber doors, Lyra pushed them open and stepped inside. "So… how long has it been? Since you started liking Leo?" Elara asked, glancing at Lyra following her into the Ivory Bloom Chamber.Lyra sat down on the edge of the bed, her expression turning thoughtful. "I think… the first time I noticed him was when he came to the throne ro

Lucien merely shifted his gaze away from her..... nothing more. Why would it even affect her?She wasn't a werewolf. She couldn't feel the mate bond. She wouldn't ache for him the way it burned inside him."She wouldn't yearn for us the way we do for her."The thought echoed in his mind, and somewhere deep within, Eryx stirred… restless, wounded."Yes, Luci! I showed her everything.....the entire palace!" Lyra chirped, practically glowing with pride.Lucien gave a small nod, forcing calm into his voice. "That"s good. Elara, make yourself comfortable. If you need anything, just inform me."Elara nodded quietly, rising from the couch."Your Highness, shall we head to our chamber ?"Lyra asked, then hesitated, glancing at Lucien. "But… I need to discuss something with Luci first. May I?"Elara blinked, confusion flickering across her face. "He's your brother, Lyra. Why would you need my permission? Go ahead."Lyra opened her mouth.....then froze."But he's yours too....."Her words cut o

Lucien's gaze held Elara’s for a moment longer before he spoke."Don't underestimate my wolf form," he said quietly. There was something in his tone.....something firm, almost warning. Then, just as quickly, it softened."So… the answer to your earlier question," he continued, more composed now. " Werewolves are called that because we are both... wolf and human."He backed away, giving her space as he explained."We mostly stay in our human form, but we shift when needed. And no… it doesn't feel strange." A faint smile touched his lips. "The wolf within us is like a second soul."Elara listened carefully, her attention fully on him now."Our wolf can communicate with us," Lucien added. "Like an inner voice. Constant. Sometimes… annoyingly constant."Especially when he won't shut up, Lucien thought as Eryx huffed in his mind."I hope that makes sense."Elara nodded slowly."So you're the True-Blooded Alpha Prince…" she said, a hint of curiosity in her voice. "That must be fascinating."

  • The Human Bound to The Alpha Prince    Bound by Fate, Blind to It

Silence rang through the Alpha's Crucible. Not the peaceful kind....but the suffocating, heavy silence that pressed against the lungs, thick with unspoken truths and rising tension.Elara stood frozen, her gaze locked onto Lucien. For a heartbeat....two....three....No one moved. Then Lucien broke. He rushed toward her, his boots striking hard against the stone floor, and in one swift motion, he bent down and grabbed the fallen sword."You okay, Elara?" he asked, his voice edged with something dangerously close to panic. But Elara didn't answer. Her eyes narrowed instead, sharp and searching."What is a Fated Mate?" she asked. The question cut through the air like a blade.Lucien stilled.Elara took a step closer, her voice quieter now,but far more dangerous."You called me that… in the Wolf's Den," she continued. "And just now too."A pause. Then, deliberately...."Mate. Fated Mate, to be exact."Lucien froze completely. For the first time since she had met him, the True-Blooded Alp
