INICIAR SESIÓN
"Dad, I don't want to get married", Elara practically yelled in front of her father who was too busy to be even bothered by her complaints, too much caught up in his files and materialistic world.
"You don't have any choice Elara, you have to marry him, he is the only one who can save my collapsing company", Cedric, Elara's father let out sternly. "I don't fucking care, I was not the one who told you to waste the company's money on that gambling shit and now when you can't pay the debt you are forcing me into this unwanted marriage, how cruel father you are"?? Elara yelled with fire in her eyes. "Ohh shut up, if I was that cruel I wouldn't have let you pursue your dreams and passion l ", Cedric said shutting down his laptop. Elara sarcastically chuckled and said, "Oh please, Do you think of me as a fool??? I know Grandpa forced you to support me, if it wasn't for him you would've forcefully made me the CEO of the company of my grandpa, you actually ruined the company, grandpa knew how to run this company way better than you". Cedric fumed in anger and stood up with force which made the chair to fall backward and lashed out saying , "Stop being disrespectful, I am your father okay, atleast do something for your family, you are so selfish, didn't take over the company, chose to make your career in that shitty sports like fencing, i didn't stop you that time but now you have to obey me". "Which family are you talking about?? The family in which you were never present, always used to to stay with your shitty characterless drunkard friends, have you ever thought about me or Mom"? Elara asked loudly. "Don't bring Suzanne in this matter, I have always cared for you both", Cedric said, this time his pitch lower, a contrast to his earlier yellings. "Stop this melodrama, don't you get tired of pretending like a good father, atleast stop this bullshit infront of me, if you have cared enough YOU WOULDN'T HAVE KILLED MY MOTHER ", Elara yelled as hot tears slipped from the corner of her eyes. Hearing her yelling and the words that slipped past her tongue Cedric couldn't control his rage and, Slap!!! He slapped Elara hard which made her face turn sideways, Elara felt that sting on her cheek but the sting she was feeling in her chest was way worse. "Stop bringing the past every time you feel like you are losing the verbal battle between us", Cedric let out ignoring Elara's pained expression and tried to control his inner turmoil. "Is my mother's death a plaything to you, I am not like you , do you think I would use her to win a verbal battle ?? She is my mother for God sake, you heard Mr.Cedric Ashford, I , Elara Montclair will not marry the guy you chose", Elara finished. "Even he is not dying to marry you, don't think high of yourself, he is marrying you only for business and not to mention Elara Montclair, you took your mother's last name gracefully but you will also fulfill HER LAST WISH OF MARRYING THE MAN I CHOSE FOR YOU respectfully", Cedric declared which left Elara out of words. She recalled something, memories from a year back surfaced, crashing her in the bones, dark room, Suzanne laying on the floor with blood oozing out from her stomach, Cedric sitting next to her frozen, bloody knife in his hand. Elara rushed towards her mother only to hear her saying, "Elara marry the man Cedric choose for you", everything stopped when Suzanne closed her eyes for forever. "You are compelled to fulfill her last wish Elara, only that will make you a true daughter of Suzanne, she never backed away from her words, she gave me everything willingly, you- Elara will simply fulfill your duty", Cedric's words were sharp knife piercing her right in the chest . She loves her mother as much as she resents her last wish, she still doesn't get why her mother wanted her to marry the man of Cedric's choice, the answers of her questions left with her mother a year back. "I will marry the Man you chose, not because you won but because my love for my mother is way bigger than my hate towards you, I will help the company to be saved from being bankrupt not because you are the CEO but because it belonged to my Mom and grandpa before you got it as marriage gift", Elara said heavy heartedly. "Okay then, meet the guy I chose for you tomorrow , I will soon arrange your marriage, don't create a scene in front of him, I will send you his picture", Cedric said normally keeping his rage within himself grabbing his phone . "What's the point of this formality now, even if that man is not even worth looking at, I eventually have to marry him only as I am compelled to do that, you have chosen him then he must be an asshole only, What can I even expect from you?? Don't know what Mom saw in you and decided to marry you on top of that gave you her company to handle ", Elara finished being very disappointed. "If you are done with your dramas then leave, i have got tons of work to do", Cedric ordered Elara who huffed loudly and stormed out of the office slamming the door shut behind her which made Cedric flinch badly as he cursed Elara in her mind. Elara got out of the company, she sat on the bench near the crosswalk, she felt that sting and heaviness of her father's words in her heart, she continued to stare at nothing, her eyes hollow but then it flickered with something. Determination She took a deep breath determined to make her father pay for the sin of killing her mother."Guards!" Lucien's commanding voice echoed through the palace corridor. "Search every corner of the palace. The intruder couldn't have gone far. Find whoever dared to spy on us." "Yes, Alpha Prince!" The guards immediately bowed before rushing down the hallway, their armored footsteps fading into the distance as they scattered throughout the palace in search of the mysterious figure who had been secretly watching the Alpha Prince and his mate. A heavy silence settled once they were gone. "Lucien..." Elara called softly, unable to hide the fear lingering in her voice. "Who could possibly be spying on us?" Her gaze unconsciously drifted toward the blood-stained blade still resting in his hand. The crimson coating its edge sent a shiver through her body. Noticing where she was looking, Lucien quietly lowered the knife until it rested by his side, gently pulling her attention away from the weapon and back to him. "I don't know," he admitted, his expression darkening. "But I hope th
A sudden chill crawled down Elara's spine. Goosebumps erupted across her skin as an uneasy feeling settled deep within her chest. It was as if invisible eyes were fixed on her, silently observing every move she made. Her head snapped around, scanning the almost empty hallway. Someone was watching them. The unsettling sensation refused to leave. Beside her, Lucien immediately noticed the shift in her expression. His body instinctively tensed as he stepped closer. "Elara," he called softly, his emerald eyes narrowing with concern. "What happened?" She hesitated before answering, still searching the shadows. "I... I felt someone's gaze on us." She forced out a nervous laugh, attempting to brush it aside. "Maybe I'm just imagining things." Lucien wasn't convinced. He knew his mate well enough to recognize when she was genuinely disturbed. Without another word, he took another step toward her. Instinctively, Elara stepped back. His brows furrowed. "You're certain someone was w
The moment Elara pushed open the chamber door, she froze. Her eyes widened in utter disbelief. What... ? Right in front of her chamber, seated on an ornate regal chair, was Lucien. He was asleep. His head rested against the high back of the chair, his arms folded loosely across his chest, and despite his composed expression, the awkward angle of his body made it painfully obvious that he hadn't slept comfortably. A sharp ache settled in Elara's heart. But along with the concern came a wave of irritation. She had specifically told him to rest. Out of everyone in the palace, Lucien needed sleep the most after everything he had endured. Yet instead of listening, he had chosen to spend the night outside her chamber like a stubborn guardian. This impossible man... Careful not to wake him, Elara walked toward him with feather-light steps. Every movement was slow and deliberate, afraid that even the faintest sound would disturb his precious sleep. As she reached him, her gaze shif
"Father..." Leo whispered, the word barely audible as it slipped from his trembling lips. But Kael had already stepped outside the chamber.Without turning back.Without offering comfort.Without sparing even a glance at the son he had just shattered. The heavy chamber doors closed with a dull thud, and the sound echoed through the silent room like a final verdict.Leo remained frozen where he stood.Every word Kael had spoken replayed endlessly inside his mind, each sentence cutting deeper than the last. His hands flew to his head as he squeezed his temples tightly, shaking his head as if he could force the voices away. But they wouldn't stop. They kept coming.Again.And again. And again. The mighty beta who could slit a man's throat without hesitation, who never flinched in battle, who carried himself with unwavering pride...was nowhere to be seen.In his place was a broken man.A devastated man.If anyone were to see him now, they would never believe he was the same Leo feared acr
Kael stood frozen in the doorway. For a moment, he couldn't process the sight before him. Leo looked utterly shattered. His silver eyes were swollen and red from crying, tears still clinging stubbornly to his lashes. His usually neat hair was a complete mess, strands falling across his forehead. His lips were swollen, and faint marks stained the skin of his neck. He looked exhausted, devastated...like someone had ripped his heart out and left him standing. "Father..." The word barely left Leo's lips. Kael's gaze slowly shifted past his son. At the end of the chamber, near the bed stood Theo. The Alpha wasn't even looking at them. His back was turned, shoulders slumped beneath a burden that seemed far too heavy for one man to carry. The personal royal guard who always stood tall now looked broken. A dangerous silence settled between the three of them. Without saying a word, Kael stepped forward. His hand shot out and wrapped tightly around Leo's wrist. "Father, wait...."
"Then let's end this." Leo's words rang in Theo's head like a spell. For a heartbeat, silence followed. Then Theo moved. In one swift motion, the Alpha threw the blankets aside and climbed out of bed. Before Leo could react, a firm hand wrapped around his wrist and yanked him forward. A startled gasp left the Beta's lips as his back slammed against the cold stone wall. Theo caged him there instantly. His hands gripped Leo's shoulders tightly, preventing any escape while Leo struggled against him. "Have you completely lost your mind?" Theo roared. The force of his voice made Leo flinch. "Do you even hear yourself? Do you know what nonsense you're spouting right now?" The room seemed to shake with Theo’s anger. Leo's breath hitched. He lowered his gaze, unable to meet those furious golden eyes. Never...not once in all the years they had known each other... had Theo raised his voice at him like this. And that terrified him. "Leo." Theo's voice dropped into a dangerous growl
Silence rang through the Alpha's Crucible. Not the peaceful kind....but the suffocating, heavy silence that pressed against the lungs, thick with unspoken truths and rising tension.Elara stood frozen, her gaze locked onto Lucien. For a heartbeat....two....three....No one moved. Then Lucien broke.

Lucien's roar tore through the throne room, his Alpha voice vibrating with raw authority. The force of it pressed down on everyone present like an invisible weight. One by one, wolves dropped to their knees. Some bowed their heads immediately. Others trembled, struggling under the dominance befor
Lyra gazed at Lucien. "You know a lot about people, don't you"? "More than I should," Lucien's lips curved upward. Lyra’s toothy grin widened as she looked at Lucien."You look terrible. Did someone finally punch that arrogance out of you?" Lucien scoffed. "I'd say the same, but that would r
