The eye of the storm

Star’s foot drove into the punching bag with ruthless negligence, the voice in her head was rambling at a mile a minute which fuelled the rage bubbling inside her. The unhappiness from earlier had long turned to anger, more at herself than anything else and it was because of that, that she was determined to dispel the ill feelings before they festered. 

Truthfully, her problem didn’t lie with the fact that Stone kissed her, after all, he was simply acting on the signals she sent, her anger stemmed partly from the fact that she allowed him to believe she was even remotely interested and partly from the fact that she couldn’t keep her emotions at bay long enough to keep up the facade.
