She was brought to the tower. When they were almost on the top of the tower, Gerthel’s knees weakened and even her wolf fell into silence. Her wolf knew that it is a suicide to fight with the Hybrid King, without the witch power of Gerthel.

As the stairs ended going up, a door opened and Gerthel was amazed to see a modern room on the top of the tower. Her fear of the beast who might devour her in a while suddenly disappeared.

The two guards immediately left and closed the door and Gerthel was left mesmerized. She walked inside looking for the Hybrid King, the beast that the maid said to be horrible and frightening. Not seeing anyone inside, she even had the bravery to open the sliding door which she found out to be the door to the tower's balcony. In her mind, while the beast is not yet around, she will rather take a glimpse of good things in this world before she will fell to her death.

She froze when instead of seeing a large beast, she saw a man standing on the balcony, his bac
