Luna's POV:
I am almost back to the familiar clearing when I hear Malcolm howling in the distance signaling the end of their run. All the others howl in unison to confirm they are done and on the way back to the house as well. I waited a few moments then let out a low howl to let the others know I was close by but not quite done. A confirmation howl echoed back and I sat down in the middle of the forest looking through the tree line at the clearing ahead. Tatum's familiar scent drifts through the air and I'm suddenly brought to my feet.
I look around in every direction wildly as my ears flick back and forth trying to detect the faintest sound. I wait for what seems like forever but there's no sign of him anywhere. I huff loudly and begin heading towards the house with confusion in my heart. Once I'm back and redressed everyone but Angel and Malcolm are in the pool. I quickly run in and change into
Luna's POV:I silently hold out my hand waiting for him to take it. As soon as our fingers are intertwined I summon my powers and blink and in an instant we are standing in the familiar living room. I step away from Tatum and begin removing my heels as he walks past me and into our room. I follow after him and stand in the doorway watching as Tatum begins to remove his suit jacket and tie."If you need me to take you to the airport or the office I can take you there or you can take my car." I say quietly."I came back early." Tatum says as he shakes his head."The client I was trying to establish connections with was only interested in having me do his bidding so I secured connections elsewhere and got back on the first flight I could." Tatum responds as he starts to unb
Tatum's POV:I've been gone for several weeks at a time only getting to come home for a few days here and there. Once I had landed back in the states I remembered what this weekend was and I kicked myself for forgetting. Luna had helped me schedule the business trip so I had constantly asked myself if she wanted me around for her birthday. Kali had sent me multiple messages throughout the week taunting me and updating me on Luna and work but it was my mother who had dealt the final blow. Though I was raised in clan life there were still things I was learning about the union and having a mate with powers such as Luna's. Though no one else had noticed Luna's distraught state due to my continued absence my mother had noticed and gave me a warning. Though I had assured her I would be home within a week I had this dark feeling in the pit of my stomach.
Tatum's POV:"Well I guess we should get some rest huh?" Luna says as she reaches for my hand.I grab her hand and lead her into our bedroom and I try to calm my mind. We both get into bed as I turn off the bedside light. Luna and I lay there in silence with her as close as she can get to me. Our legs are entangled and she has her head rested on my arm as I stroke her long beautiful hair. One of her arms is wrapped tightly around me as if she's afraid I'm going to disappear. Her other hand rests gently under my head and I can feel her thumb rubbing my temple lightly. At that moment I realized what she was doing. It was the same thing I had done many times at the office, at home or anywhere we were. She was recharging or reconnecting so to speak. Allowing our energies to connect and dispel all the negative chaos that had been growing within us over the p
Tatum's POV:The next Monday Luna and I head straight for the office where my father gives her the materials and budgets she needs while she is overseas. Once Luna and I have been briefed about our upcoming schedules we head back home and pack. On the flight over we go over the agenda and discuss our course of action as well as a few ideas for our wedding. Once we land we head straight for the hotel and when we've settled in we head out into Manhattan to find something to eat. On our way down the street we pass by a nightclub called The Bomb. Loud techno music blasts from the building and Luna looks at the doors curiously."You wanna go in?" I ask leaning down to whisper in Luna's ear."But you don't really like clubs." Luna replies."Correction. I don't like going
Luna's POV:Tatum and I are walking hand in hand as the city is painted orange in the setting sunlight. The park is shockingly full of people and other couples and Tatum and I spot a bench up ahead as we begin to make our way towards it. On our way towards the bench I accidentally bump into a man."I'm so sorry I didn't mean to run into you ma'am." The man said quickly.A look of shock suddenly ran across his face taking me by surprise."Oh no I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention." I replied. The man stares at me as if he's seen a ghost and I begin to get uneasy."Is it really you?" The man says as he reaches towards my face.I jerk bac
Tatum's POV:Luna kisses me back as she places a hand on my cheek. I feel a sudden fire spark within me and I deepin our kiss pushing her against her desk. We have been so focused on the recent business trips that it feels like I am touching her for the first time all over again as I slide my hand up her body. Luna sighs against my lips and I begin trailing kisses down her jaw and to her neck. I bite her shoulder causing her to gasp as she runs her hand though my hair pulling me closer to her."Tatum we can't do this here." Luna whispers is a sultry voice."I don't care. I just want to feel your body against mine." I reply in a low growl before sliding my hand under her dress.I feel Luna's body quiver at my touch and I capture her lips with mine again. A low moan escape
Luna's POV:"Shouldn't we pick a date first." I say as I lace into his."How about a fall or Christmas wedding." Tatum says casually."This year?" I ask."Yes, this year." Tatum replies with a smile."Do you think they will be able to do something that soon?" I ask."I'm sure then can and if they can't we can keep looking until we find someone who can." Tatum replies."Now all you have to do is tell me, fall or Christmas?" Tatum says bringing my hand to his lips."That's a tough choice. There are so many gorgeous colors for fall but Christmas colors are so beautiful also." I replied thought
Luna’s POV:A few days after we returned home our wedding invites came in. The stationary was a beautiful crimson color with purple, orange, and yellow flowers and leaves decorating the corners. The calligraphy was a beautiful gold color and everything paired together well. Tatum and I mailed out most of the invitations and made plans the next day to hand deliver the rest as Tatum had called a small gathering the next day at Angels Keep."I'm getting a little nervous." I say as we get closer to the familiar bar."Everything will be fine." Tatum says with a smile, taking my hand in his."Do you think everyone we invited will be able to come?" I ask as I look at the invitations laying in my lap."Well if they don't then i
