"Welcome Home"

Tatum's POV:

  I've been gone for several weeks at a time only getting to come home for a few days here and there. Once I had landed back in the states I remembered what this weekend was and I kicked myself for forgetting. Luna had helped me schedule the business trip so I had constantly asked myself if she wanted me around for her birthday.

Kali had sent me multiple messages throughout the week taunting me and updating me on Luna and work but it was my mother who had dealt the final blow. Though I was raised in clan life there were still things I was learning about the union and having a mate with powers such as Luna's. Though no one else had noticed Luna's distraught state due to my continued absence my mother had noticed and gave me a warning. Though I had assured her I would be home within a week I had this dark feeling in the pit of my stomach.<
