Sasha.

The days that followed, Cassian never slept in the bedroom. For five days now, I have only glimpsed my handsome husband when I was attending the selection, and he was walking out of the castle. I had asked Ariel where he was, but she said he was busy.

I asked her if the attacks were getting frequent, but she said I should be patient with him. So here I was for the sixth time today, eating my breakfast all by myself.

I wondered if he was with Ravenna, considering she was missing from the castle as well. “Are you ready for your first solo outing?” Ariel asked, pouring juice for me. I shook my head. I will never be ready.

“Oh, it will be fine. I promise it won’t be like last time. You are going to the shelter, and you will love it there. I just know it,” she said, and she was right.

My time at the castle was pleasant. I spent time with kids who showed me their drawings and art. I couldn’t help but smile at what they were doing.

  • The Imperfect Luna   I'm Never Coming Back

SashaMy heart is thumping so hard, even as I make my way towards the pack house. I have an idea why the alpha wants to speak to me. What if he asks me to leave? I ask myself inwardly.I pull on my cardigan, putting on a straight face. “She is his mate. That’s what I hear,” whispers and murmurs fill my ears as I walk up the staircase. When I make it to his office, I knock twice, waiting for him to answer.“Yes,” his voice echoes as I push the door open, entering. He is sitting behind his dark Oakwood desk, pen in hand, while he scribbles something on the paper. Luna Elsie stands by his side.“Oh Serena. You are here. Please take a seat.” He gestures for me, and I purse my lips together, making my way towards the couch.“Luna. Alpha,” I curtly bow my head before sitting down on the edge of the couch. Luna Elsie smiles weakly at me before coming to sit in front of me with Alpha Allisson. The two of them just watch me with those intimidating eyes, but I don’t cower. After all, I am an al

  • The Imperfect Luna   Stand Strong

SashaI stare blankly at Cassian, my eyes trailing from his eyes to his feet as he takes slow, deliberate steps towards me. I swallowed hard, looking at Maura. ‘I can stay with you if you need me to.’ She links to me as I shake my head.“Give me a minute,” I say, and she grabs her things, making her way out of the shop to the cold room.“Have you been well?” He asks me, his voice soft. I chuckle softly, shaking my head, taking the flowers from the bucket. I need to start working.“What do you want, Your Grace? Is there anything you would like?” I ask, crossing my arms over my chest. He stops just a few steps from me, his eyes roaming all over my face.“I missed you.”I burst out laughing, shaking my head. “Bullshit!” I say with a straight face, bouncing on my heels.“What do you want, Cassian? Surely you didn’t travel from your pack to come and tell me you miss me.” I insist, holding his gaze. He turns away, looking around the shop. He takes time running his fingers over the lavender

  • The Imperfect Luna   Unspoken Words

SashaMy eyes sting and my heart pounds as I make my way out of the pack house. I had replayed this moment in my mind so many times. I thought about the words I would tell him if I ever saw him again. Wanted him to know how much he hurt me, but tonight, when I stood there, I found myself unable to speak.“Serena!” Isaiah’s voice came from behind me, startling me, but I shook my head, continuing with my walk. I can’t deal with this. Not with him and not now.“Sasha!” He grabs my wrist, making me turn to look at him. I blink back my tears, pressing my lips together. My body shakes so much.“Let’s get you home. You can’t walk like this,” he says. I lifted my gaze, looking at him.“You said his people won’t be coming. You lied.” The words leave my lips, and he sighs heavily.“I swear they didn’t respond. I was so sure they wouldn’t come,” he insisted, tightening his grip around my wrist. I can see the conflict in his eyes as I look away. I won’t cry. I won’t cry over that man.“Let me dri

  • The Imperfect Luna   I Found Her

CassianI didn’t want to attend this fucking alpha ball, but Taylor insisted that I do it. Since the fallout with Keenan Thorne, I needed more allies after the recent attacks. We needed to unite as wolves to fight this war that was coming. But what I didn’t expect was to find the one person I have spent three years looking for here. In Highlands. So far away from him. When her scent hit my nostrils, I thought I was dreaming until I saw her running through the crowd towards the other door, so I used the cobblestone corridor to go to the other door, and I was right. She was running. When the doors opened before me, I couldn’t believe my eyes. She was standing before me, looking like the queen she was.“Hello, Little Wolf,” the words left my lips, and she froze, her eyes roaming around my face. My eyes trailed down from her grey eyes to her plump lips, then to the way her dress hugged her curves. She looked so fucking beautiful.“I finally found you.” I tried to take a step towards her,

  • The Imperfect Luna   It Catches Up

SashaI stood in front of the mirror, running my hands down the dress I was wearing. It was a midnight blue floor-length dress with a double high slit, and deep V-neck, and long sleeves.“Wow, you look amazing.” Isaiah’s voice came from the door. I glanced over my shoulder to see him leaning against the threshold, hands in his pockets. His clean-shaven face and piercing brown eyes made my heart skip a beat. I rolled my eyes and walked towards the bed.“All thanks to my handsome date. He picked it out for me,” I said with a smirk, gathering my silver purse.“He has great taste. You should tell him that” he chuckles, pushing off, then striding towards me. He took slow, deliberate steps into the room, his eyes roaming around.“I like what you have done with the room. It feels…” he pauses, inhaling sharply. “homely,” he continues towards the window.“Thanks. I needed a change of scenery. Plus, I haven’t been in my right mind lately.” I said, putting on my earrings as he stepped closer.“I

  • The Imperfect Luna   My New Life

Sasha“I’m sorry I am late. Traffic was—”“It’s not that busy. Don’t worry about it,” Maura assured me immediately I walked into the shop. I know she will only tell me this not to make me feel guilty. I look at her, giving her a weak smile.“Well, how’s the order for Lewis coming up? Are the flowers ready?” I asked her, wrapping my leather apron around my waist. I can’t believe I’m late today, especially with such a huge order.“It’s coming up well. The truck arrived a bit late, but we have everything we need. I have started working on the centerpieces,” she explains while I put on my gloves.“Great. I want all the orders sent out by eleven o’clock,” I instructed, my voice firm and decisive.“Tell that to Penny. She is the one who has been chatting with that boy on her phone,” she jerks her head towards Penny’s table. My eyes follow her sight, and Penny is busy smiling.Love. A word that once held so much promise now feels like a distant dream. I thought I had found it, but it only br
